Consistent!

Been using Turbo Tax for many many years. It hasn't failed me yet! I was a little miffed this year when I had to go to the web to figure out how to get around it not wanting to charge me $45 for premium services. Ended up having to e-file Federal and State separately before it would stop automatically adding the charge with no way to remove it.

Charged $80.00 to have the ability to file a previous years taxes. Paid the fee. Found out, your aren't able to. Wonderful.

Easy Breezy Turbo Tax

I let the software do the calculations!! And it asks you for ALL the pertinent info that one may otherwise forget. After many years using it, you know you have a product you can trust. Awesome!!

This company, and all other tax prep companies, are leeches. They lobby to keep the tax system as it is to justify their own existence. I could not hate Intuit or Turbo Tax more.

Don't believe state explanations of HSA

Turbo tax gets worse every year in terms of complexity or degradation of explanations. The explanation of HSA contributions for California is appalling..."We've calculated an addition to your California income in the amount of $x,xxx for contributions made to your HSA by your employer". In actuality, the amount listed was the combined total of my employer's contribution AND my contributions. I spent a couple hours back calculating to see if my employer reported correctly, or if the forms were right, etc. The state tax law sucks and turns out both are taxable, but this explanation wasted 2 hours of my life.

Turbo Tax performance is down in 2024

It is not as good this year. It lacks reliable guidance especially in filing. and in completing Form 8606.It is nearly impossible to make changes. I have wasted hours, no days, and weeks with it this year..
You need to get customers to review changes before you final them . Your directions are as bad as IRS./
