TurboTax used to be more user friendly. This year there are more attempts at upselling, including creative use of scare tactics as part of the upsell.

I Prefer H&R Block

I normally use H&R Block tax software but decided to give Turbotax a try this year. I found the software generally okay, but I had know I could not import my return from last year (even though they claimed I could do so easily), I would not have made the switch. I also found it harder to review my return than with H&R Block as Block simply walks you through the same questionnaire you completed to begin with but Turbotax sorta relied on me to tell it where to go.

unable to print with turbotax

unable to print any documents on turbotax. I had to research online to find a work around to print my returns. This was a very frustrating experience and I may not use turbotax next year
