Terrible! The program would not E file as promised. Said it needed an update but would not update. Unlikely Il ever use TurboTax again. Miserable, frustrating experience.

Need to fix how credit card data is handled

I'd prefer to give 4.5 stars. Could not tell what the problem wa with the generic "Something has gone wrong, try again later" error message, but I had an issue with the payment for state. TTax was looking at my online account for credit card info. Did not look at the card I used to buy the package nor have a field where I could input the data. Could not get it to work until I had a half hour phone call with Essence, who was very helpful and pleasant. This is a fail when the system needs card info without telling you or providing a way to directly input.

Turbo Tax is good.

It works good, I had a few problems with entering information this year. It was misleading on interest & dividends entering figures, I hit continue and it kept going back to the start of those instead of going on. I finally figured it out.

We should have the option to choose the standard deduction and not have to enter so much information just to find out that it is the best option. We know that from past experience. Try to make it simple and not so much unnecessary clutter and confusion. Also, charging $20 to e file state taxes is total crap. I won't do it again.
