The only tax preparation app you should consider

Turbo Tax is so incredibly easy to use. You do not have to be an accountant to successfully prepare your tax return. Using Turbo Tax assures you that your return will be accurate and you can be assured you will pay the least amount of taxes possible and if you are entitled to a refund, it will be the largest refund possible. I have been using Turbo Tax for well over twenty years.

Pretty easy to use. It is especially useful that you can switch from the step-by-step guided mode to looking at the actual forms. Invariably I have to tweak a form or two. The 1099 import facility works well and saves a ton of error prone work. Filling Foreign Tax Credit forms has gotten much easier over the years and is now painless.
