Mostly pretty good

The software is pretty good. I only fault it on Form 1116 for the foreign tax credit, which is admittedly complicated. The instructions would benefit from further clarification. There are a couple of instances where the screen display is larger than my laptop screen so that the "continue" button is not visible. That is just poor programming.

turbo tax regarding other Oregon deductions

It works fine for my Federal Tax return. My Oregon return has some additional subtractions that Turbo Tax doesn't address. Namely a built in feature that enables me to deduct an out of state funded public utility( Tennessee Power )1099INT earnings that are exempt from Oregon Tax. I have to manually go to the OR-AS c form to enter this. which is usually a $500+ tax deduction.

Does not allow me to e-file.

I filled out my return and when I went to e-file it, it failed and told me to go to the online tab to check for updates, I did that and I installed the updates. It still failed after I paid the $25.00 to e-file my state return.
I tried it 5 more times and still it failed. I closed down the program and my computer and the next day tried it again. Still failed and I am out $25.00.

Turbo Tax people are awesome

I had problems filing my taxes electronically. I called Customer Service and spoke with Denise. She helped me through the electronic filing and I was successful. Denise was personable, professional, and she was a great help. Whatever scale you use for assessing her work,I give her top marks.
