I have used Turbo Tax for many years. But for the past few years there always seems to be something added at the end that confounds. This year it will not let me file unless I agree to a $40 fee - For WHAT? Will probably never use Turbo Tax aging 0 too stressful which is why am paying to Turbo Tax to eliminate in the first place. Even being to pick a stupid nickname to submit thuis is a pain!

I have been using TurboTax to prepare a joint return for decades even though I was a licensed income tax preparer in the past. I did try a competitor one year, but ended up not using it and purchased TurboTax to finish filing. I did have a problem the one year I tried the e-file. It ended up costing me late file fees because the forms did not get sent out even through I got a confirmation from TurboTax. I may try again this year. It has been some time since the first try, but not sure yet. The cost of certified mail has increased a great deal and USPS has turmoil in the way it will operate and what it will cost on the horizon. I must compliment the customer service staff at Intuit. Both for TurboTax and Quicken. I do not like the complexity of the newer versions of Quicken. A online requirement is far more complex than I now need. Being retired and up in years, I like to keep it simple and also primarily to avoid risk from the computer bandits.
