Stick with Turbo

I used accountant last year because I wasn't sure I was using Turbo correctly but I received state and Federal refund after accountant, but having issues now trying to send Turbo. Having issues.

Bug found with form IT112R

I have been using Turbo Tax to file my returns for over 20 years. I had a problem with a joint return where the filers had earnings in NY and NJ. Turbo tax did not properly capture the second filer's NJ earnings and NJ taxes withheld when completing form IT112R for the NY return. I called Turbo Tax Support to walk through the issue with them while they shadowed my screen. They said I should file 2 separate form IT112R's for each filer but Turbo tax maps all of the input into the tax forms to enable electronic filing (among other things). Turbo tax mapped only information for the first filer into form IT112R even though it showed both filers' names on the top of the form. I explained to the support person that I manually input the combined information for both filers into the form and the support person agreed with me. I urged them to note this as an apparent system bug but I am not sure they understood me or they just didn't want to acknowledge that this was a bug.

Print not working

Been using TurboTax for years and love it but this year the print function did not work. Found a work around by using print preview and then sending it out to Adobe. Not the best solution for confidential information. If not for that, it would be 5 stars.

Very easy to file my tax returns. However when you buy federal and state returns, you should NOT be charged for e-filing the state return.

Connecting with a Financial Institution

Last year the process seemed smoother. This year 1 section seems strained.
1099-INT, 1099-B, 1099-, 1099-R, and 1099-MISC sections that can be filled-in automatically when the software connects to my financial institution forced me into a never ending loop. The option to enter the amounts manually should be offered and displayed right UP at the top so I could have chosen this option.
