More Usage Guidance Needed

TurboTAx is less than awesome

I have several complaints. The whole question of what is a 401,2,3,4,5, or whatever is unnecessarily confusing. If you identified my State Retirement Plan correctly at the top of the screen, the type of account should be automatically identified. I had to call CalPERS to get that information.
Another problem: I can't print out the returns, but I can print out a typed text from my computer. Apparently there are some necessary pages even though I sent my federal files electronically.
I can't print my state return which I need to file by mail.
The reason I write this is because previous experience in trying to reach a TurboTax human being is almost impossible.

Mostly Fine Until Time to File and Pay

Most was fine until I got to filing. Within the program it said that I had to pay my CA taxes electronically, but nothing was clarified and I did not get that option when I was in the final review and filing stage (I e-filed federal but wanted to mail in my state to avoid a $20 surcharge). Very confusing. I pdf'd multiple copies of my tax documents as it was not clear where the "final" ones were. The final filing section of TurboTax needs more realistic review.
