We've gone through a few keyless deadbolts for our garage door. Codes are fine. RFID chips work, but you need to remember to get them out. I'm not a fan of geofences auto-unlocking my door. Fingerprint readers don't work on my wife's hands. Enter the Wyze palm reading lock. It won't tell your future, but it opens the lock 100% of the time. Súper convenient. Easy to install.
I really want to give this product 5 stars, but there are two issues. One is easy to fix.the screws that wyze provides for the deadbolt strike plate are just too short to provide any real security. Longer screws would drive past the door frame, into the stud making the lock more secure. The second is in regard to battery life when the lock is left in full auto mode. That is when the lock senses you approaching and self activates to read your palm. I had to switch mine so that I had to touch it first as the battery was draining too fast.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Your experience matters, and we appreciate you sharing this thoughtful feedback. I’m glad the Palm Lock is working well overall, and I’m sorry for the trouble with the strike plate screws and battery life in Full Auto Mode. If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue. We’ll also be sure to share your suggestions on longer screws and battery performance with our product team.
Very pleased with the palm lock from wise. My wife is always forgetting her key and this makes it a lot easier for her. Also her daughter forgets and it makes it easier to know when someone other than the wife or myself have been in our house.
This beats yale by a million miles, removable rechargable battery with a backup and usb port if you want to charge it on the door. It has cool tech and doesn't disconnect constantly.
Palm lock is a great idea in theory. It worked great after install but after a few days we gave it a temporary code for our neighbors to take care of our cat, they got so frustrated with it that they had to call us while we were away because "sometimes the code works and sometimes not", when we returned, sure enough we stand at the door as the palm lock doesn't even recognize our own palms, and doesn't open with our passcodes either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there! I’m really sorry you had this experience with the Wyze Palm Lock and especially after it worked well at first. A code or palm working only “sometimes” is definitely not normal. Issues like this are usually caused by calibration errors, a low battery, or a sync problem between the lock and the app. Re-calibrating the lock, updating the firmware, and deleting/re-adding passcodes often fixes it.
