I really like the Palm lock as you do not have to touch the interface at all. It is quick to recognize the palm print, and of course you can always provide pin numbers for each user. I love that there is a key hole as well for those "oh crap" moments when you forgot or ignored the battery.

Poor Unlocking Mechanism

I have had this wyze palm lock for a while now and it is getting worse over time. The motor mechanism inside is barely able to unlock my door and I continuously have to either pull on the door, type in my code, or try my palm again. Sometimes 2-3 times before it unlocks my door. The battery is fully charged and still has the issues. I am highly disappointed in this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This lock is the culmination of the evolution of Waze product in general in my opinion. I have been using Wyze for many years and when they first came on the scene they were inexpensive but were very buggy. Since then I have upgraded my entire house with their next gen Wyze Cam Pan v4 inside my home on every level with water sensors, window and door sensors, and alarm keypads at main entrances to activate and deactivate their alarm service. On the outside I have installed their Floodlight Cam, Window cams for some angles, and their Dual Cam Pan for a particular tricky corner of the house. My latest upgrade was to this Wyze Palm Lock. This thing works flawlessly makes coming and going to the home an easy exercise with a James Bond flair. Futuristic without being complicated. All family members don't have to worry about keys. They have their right and left palms scans to use, or a code if they prefer. The lock does have a hidden door key option which in my opinion is the only flaw to the whole lock system. It comes with two keys. I installed a 2nd Wyze Palm lock to the back entrance and it comes with two keys as well. There is no way to get all the locks to be keyed to a single key like with Kwikset. My recommendation if you have to have a key, keep the front entrance to the home with you on your keyring. Regardless I have not seen this kind of lock with other manufacturers. Most stick with fingerprint or keypad options. This is a refreshing and fun option which I think highlights the gains that the WYZE company has made to be one of the best value in a crowded market of home security products. Highly recommend this lock and I will probably be getting one more for my garage inner door as well once I can fix how misaligned the door is!

The lock looks great and futuristic. A few issues with the setup and daily operations. First, the palm scans do not work consistently. Adding new users via palm scans take a few attempts before it actually registers. Second, when you try to unlock the door with the palm scans, it is a hit or miss. A lot of times the palm fails and if you have enabled Failed entry lockout, this disables the palm scans quickly.

I bought this lock and easily installed and set it up in under 30 minutes. I loved it so much I bought a second immediately after setting up the first. What a great value. It has code and palm reader for individuals, temp codes for guest, can be locked/unlocked remotely, will auto lock after x time or at x time and even comes with 2 old school keys if needed. Couldn't ask for more.
