We LOVE these locks, we have these locks on both the front and the back doors. We love the convenience of using the Palm, which we use the most. You have the option of using a CODE or a key if you're feeling vintage.
WE highly recommend this product. WYZE always price their products right, and you get a lot for the price. The quality is great, it's easy to use. WE love the fact that you can also put in a temporary code for someone you trust and have it expire if something needs to get done.
WE live in California and we were having some work done, and needed to replace our front door and these locks had recently came out. We purchased one for the door that we needed to replace and also our back door, and the family loves them.
Not only would I recommend WYZE to a friend, we've also recommended WYZE to our electrician and others, because of the dependability of the products, the price, etc.
This lock is a Game Changer! I have had two Kwikset locks and they were garbage. Too slow to open, sucked batteries too fast, and app barely worked. This new Wyze palm lock is fast, efficient, easy to set palm IDs and the best part, it locks itself when you close the door! It is truly an incredible product. Couldn't be happier.
I've been waiting for a lock that I find worthwhile. This one fit the bill. The combination of being part of the Wyze platform, the keyless (palm recognition) access, works with Amazon Alexa, decent battery life, plus a backup battery, and a good price, it all added up for me. I do have some observations and suggestions which I have posted on the Wyze product suggestion forum. Most of them are "new product release" annoyances that can be fixed with firmware or software updates and I hope Wyze does this.
I made the switch from the Eufy S230 fingerprint lock that I had about 2 years once I saw this Wyze product announced. The Eufy had constant wifi connection issues on my network I could never figure out so it was a dumb lock essentially that I could never access remotely, but the fingerprint was super fast and the construction top-notch. This Wyze product so far has had rock-solid wifi connection which was my first desire. The palm detection is somewhat hit or miss, definitely slower than the fingerprint reader on the Eufy and on my male hand it fails maybe 1/10 times I get to the door; my wife's smaller hand maybe 1/8 detections fail, and my 7-yr old daughter's tiny hand, less than 1/2 detections catch her hand... I hope firmware updates fix the palm detection accuracy. The construction of the device is good but doesn't feel as solid as the Eufy, especially the exterior metal portion; when I was replacing the Eufy for the Wyze the weight difference of the exterior portion was very noticeable, it's much lighter gauge metal. Another pro of this device vs the Eufy is the door closed-ajar detection, the Eufy was abysmal at knowing when the door was left open and would auto engage the lock based on the timer I preset; whereas the sensors in the Wyze, once calibrated, have been rock solid at knowing when the door is left ajar and not to engage the lock based on my preset timer unless the door is in the closed position. I own many Wyze products and know that firmware updates come often, so I will recommend this door lock with the hopes that the palm detection improves slighly for smaller hands over time because everything else (except the construction quality) is better than the more popular Eufy S230 contender.
So far, this was an easy transition from prior digital lock. Hoping this one will last longer than the other brand. I have a lot of Wyze products and have consistently been pleased with most of them.
