Installation is simple and straight forward; obviously some carpentry skill might be necessary when installing the strike plate. I do find that the palm reader is pretty sensitive and may not read the palm when there are lighting issues. I do like the automatic lock features, but it would be nice if you could set a time frame to disengage that feature... i.e. when working outdoors and going in and out frequently so the door could remain unlocked for a specified period of time

I was excited about getting the Wyze palm lock after seeing it being promoted but my palm lock only works about 25% of the time so therefore I'm left to use my code or my key ,not what i was expecting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a really nice unit. The palm reader is very accurate I work with my hands all the time so I'm constantly getting cuts and scrapes on my palms but it still reads them with no problem.
