The Wyze Lock delivers strong performance and better overall value than the Level Lock. Installation was simple, and the features work well for everyday use. The only drawback is occasional inconsistency with the palm reader not recognizing a hand on the first attempt.
I had the thumb scan previously and updated to this. I find the palm lock is much more erratic and slower to respond. The key pad is also not as responsive. Currently debating whether or not to go back to thumb scan.
While I love the efficiency of the lock and the log about who comes and goes, the palm reader takes some time to recognize your palm. It’s quiet and senses when the door is open and closed.
Installation was very straightforward. They integrate well with the Wyze app and Alexa. No issues with the palm reading or direct code entry. Battery life seems quite good and the ability to recharge is a big step up from my previous smart locks.
The fingerprint locks just have better reliable scans, and therefore faster. I'm often standing at the door waiting as multiple attempts are required to get a good palm scan.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
