Simple installation, easy to follow instructions, the old deadbolt hole in the door was able to accommodate the WYZE lock system with no adjustments. So easy to install after downloading the app on my phone. Bluetooth connected to the lock with no hassles. Setting up was simple. Figured out.Works well, but every so often needs to see my other hand to unlock, this one star decrease.
Overall a solid product, time will tell though as it’s exposed to harsh sun and heat. Extreme brightness sometimes prevents accurate palm reading.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wyze Palm Lock! We’re glad to hear you find it to be a solid product overall, and we appreciate you pointing out your concerns about long-term exposure to harsh sun and heat.
The Wyze Palm Lock is rated IP53, meaning it’s built to handle dust and light water exposure, and its exterior assembly is designed to operate between -4°F and 122°F. While it is tested for durability in a range of conditions, we understand why you’d want to see how it performs over time.
Regarding palm vein recognition, very bright lighting can occasionally affect accuracy. Shading the sensor with your hand can help improve recognition in strong sunlight.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wyze Palm Lock. We’re sorry to hear that it started working inconsistently after a couple of weeks, especially in colder conditions, and that it’s not locking all the way even though the keypad is functioning normally. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
Cold temperatures can sometimes impact the lock’s mechanical movement or battery performance, so here are a few steps that may help:
Check the battery: Ensure the main battery pack is fully charged. Cold weather can reduce battery efficiency, so charging it indoors may help.
Update the Wyze app and firmware:
In the app, go to Account > About to confirm your app version.
Then check Account > Firmware Update to make sure your Palm Lock firmware is up to date.
Inspect the lock mechanism: Cold conditions can cause parts to contract or become stiff. Try gently operating the lock manually to see if there’s resistance.
Check signal strength: In the lock settings, go to Device Info > Signal Strength. If it shows 2 bars or less, moving your router closer may help.
Power cycle the lock: Remove the main battery pack for 10 seconds, then reinsert it firmly.
Recalibrate: In the lock settings, choose Calibration and follow the in-app steps.
Factory reset (if needed): Remove the interior cover and hold the reset button for 8 seconds until you see a red pulse, then set up the lock again.
If you have not, please reach out to our Wizards team (https://support.wyze.com/hc/en-us) so we may help diagnose the issue.
We appreciate your feedback and want to make sure your Palm Lock is working reliably for you!
The only drawback is the inability to assign users to open the lock using palm technology without signing up for the app. No one needs the hassle of having to set up your additional users, such as housekeepers, etc.
