Big disappointment

We bought the new mixer last year and the processing attachment ready for my new kitchen that’s just finished being installed. It’s very slow compared to other products we have had in the past. Unfortunately the food gets stuck in the top of the food processor on top of the cutting plate no matter what vegetable of food we use. Very disappointed in this product- we are going to have to buy a different brand/unit as my husband gets very frustrated with it. He has read reviews and we are not the only ones with the same issue. We spent a lot of money on something that struggles to do the job it was made for. Shame because I love my mixer and KitchenAid brand in general.

This is not a food processor

This should 100% be labeled an automatic slicer not food processor, but I guess for the price copy came up with a good title. If you want to make a salsa or hummus or pesto or anything that you would make in a normal food processor, this is not your attachment. I have the meat grinder, pasta makers and a few other attachments but this is by far the worst attachment for the price. KITCHEN AID SIMPLY TITLE THIS FOOD SLICER NOT PROCESSOR.

Not Impressed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have many KitchenAid products so when I saw this food processor attachment I got really excited. I received it for Chirstmas and have used it serveral times and I will say my excitment has turned to disappointment. The feeder too tube is so small that you can hardly fit anything in it so you have to cut everything into tiny pieces. I tried to shred cheese which was partially frozen and it did shred it ok but it also left big chunks on the top that would not run through. I thought this was going to be more like a food processor where I could put cookies, graham crackers and such into and grind but you can't do that. I did have the small KitchenAid food processor with the small bowl insert but a plastic piece had broke and I am no longer able to use it so I thought this food processor would replace that. I am less than impressed with this item and I would like to return but my husband threw away the box so I guess I am stuck with it. It was also suppose to include a storage box and it didn't so there is nowhere to store the blades. I would not recommend this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is not a food processor, as it can not mince up food as a regular food processor can do. However, it can shred and slice just fine. Have not had any trouble with those two functions. I would recommend it, but not as a "true" food processor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I figured it out it was great. It just won't take large around vegetables. Things cuts lengthwise it was great. Especially for nuts, cheese, etc.

Great for small dicing

We bought this to help with meal prep. One day a week, I prep all lunches and dinners for our family for a week. We love to do roasted chicken and veggies. Recently, the amount of chopping to do this dish was weighing on me. I'd spend about 7 hours prepping 5 dinners of chicken and veggies, as well as our lunches for the week. My husband bought this for us to help with chopping. I love it, but I do wish it came with an option for larger diced food, instead of just really small diced food. Hopefully this is a dicer KitchenAid will make for this processor in the near future!
