Absolute garbage

Terrible product. First of all, this is not a food processor. It is an unwieldy slicer and shredder. Second, it doesn't even slice or shred well. Not worth the effort to even pull out of the cupboard. But my biggest issue is still that it is not a food processor. Incredibly misleading to call it that.

Over-rated slice

This item is NOT a food processor. It is an over priced, and over rated sliced. I have had this for a few years and have used it twice, and it failed both times. It does not process food, it slices hard items, that's it. I can slice, shred, and even Julieanne with a knife faster than it takes to set up, use, be disappointed, and clean this paper weight. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. Buy an actual food processor.

Beware! Not as advertised.

I was so excited with my food processor attachment so I could eliminate having a separate food processor. This attachment is NOT a food processor. It is a slicer only. I mainly use a food processor to purée, etc for butter, mayonnaise, etc. There is no S blade and no way to keep the ingredients in the “processor”. Now I have to buy a separate food processor. Love my mixer and my other attachments.

Why is this called a food processor?

I was so excited to have a food processor that could attach to our stand mixer! The instructions are very unclear and after finally figuring it out and playing with it, we realized that it doesn’t actually process any food, you can’t put in any liquids or make sauces or dips, this machine is ONLY a chopper, and it does that pretty poorly. Firstly, you have to cut your food small enough to fit into the “wide” opening, at this point, I should just cut my vegetables by hand but alas, we kept going. These are either the dullest blades or the worst made machine ever because the slices are extremely inconsistent, food gets mangled in the blades and then stuck in the machine. Then when you’ve got a few inches of your carrot or whatever left, you have to cut it by hand or throw it away.
I’ve never been so angry about a product, I feel misled, and I’m bummed my mom bought this for Christmas for us because I thought it was what we needed. We had to go buy an actual food processor. I wish I would have realized how awful this “food processor” was before the box was gone so I could have returned it. Change the name to what this machine really is, “Kitchen-Aid Average Chop n Slice.”

This item is NOT a food processor

This item is labeled incorrectly, the definition of Food Processor is:
food proc·es·sor (noun)
an electric kitchen appliance used for chopping, mixing, or pureeing foods. This item chops, slices and Julienne's. it does NOT mix or puree food. My son bought it for me for Christmas as I have most of the attachments and I love kitchen aid however, this was a extremely disappointing. Also had a hard time returning it without the receipt which my son has with him (he is on deployment overseas) Im sure this product is a great slicer however, I wanted a food processor and already have the slicer attachment.

Disappointing

I found I had to chop pieces small enough in hope that food wouldn't jam. Food constantly jammed no matter what I did for food prep. This piece of equipment is a big disappointment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this food processor attachment about 6 weeks ago for the sole purpose of shredding carrots for carrot cake (my husband's favorite). We live in a tiny house and have very little storage space so having the ability to have a food processor that is small, but can also handle big jobs, was my major concern. This processor fit the bill perfectly! It stows away in a small space, yet can handle shredding 5 pounds of carrots in lickity split time. I was so pleased! I have also shred cabbage for coleslaw and it make the job SO MUCH EASIER! My next big project is slicing cucumbers for pickling. I'm sure it will work just as fabulously.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I received the food processor attachment with all the different blades for my stand mixer. This processor does not work at all. Don't waste your money!!!
