So disappointing

I have been a long time KitchenAid user, for over 25 years and my mother over 30 years. I bought this attachment because I love my stand mixer and I like the idea of having one appliance with multiple functions. Plus, meal prepping takes time and I was hoping this would speed up the process instead of having to hand cut, dice, slice and chop. Unfortunately, this does not fit the bill.
The shredding consistency was uneven, it jams very easily, the feeding tube is entirely too small. I end up having to stop the mixer repeatedly to clear the jam and overall my cooking time increases when this should've cut my time down substantially.
I've tried using it for different vegetables and I've never had success, despite following the instructions. All in all I'm sad about it because it's an expensive attachment and I still have to go spend the money on an actual food processor that I know will get the job done.

Used only a few times and the housing cracked!

I was given the food processor with the accessory disks for Christmas last year. I used the grating disk for some cheddar cheese and the housing cracked on the back of the food processor. This has rendered it useless. The cheese was not frozen. It did function adequately the few times I was able to use it. I guess it will maker a good paperweight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Inaccurate description

Hi! I bought a food processor attachment with commercial style dicing kit. In a description to this attachment you said it is fit to all Kitchen-Aid Stand Mixers.
Mine mixer is KL26M1XER (s/n W72088811) and this attachment doesn't fit to the mixer. It looks like the hub of the mixer is to long for the attachment and attachment doesn't rotate. I was so disappointment about it, because it was a present and because of the inaccurate description this surprise was spoiled.

Sorry folks but if your going to say it is a food processor then make a food processor. This is a basic salad shooter that slices and dices. I need a food processor so I can make food for my special needs granddaughter. Keep trying. I do love your mixer

I consider myself pretty savy in the cooking area and my husband bought me this a year ago and still to this day I can not get it to work. I have tried everything and it will not do anything. Super disappointed as this would have been used so much in my kitchen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this with the express intent of chopping onions. With the accessory blades and screen, it does a great job. Clean up is a different story! The razor sharp screen below the slicing blade, traps onion particle in it’s intersections. I have tried the nylon brush scrubbbing and the dishwasher to no avail. I am going to try an Ultrasonic cleaner next, but until then be sure to set your dishwasher at “Steralize.” Onions are bacteria magnets!

Wish I had wrote my review earlier....purchased this about 2 years ago for myself as a splurge for Xmas. I have tried it on different occasions only once again to be disappointed and VERY frustrated.. I am shocked because Kitchen Aid usually does things so well. Here I am 2 years later still wanting that food processor I was promised...keep looking at them, but, after shelling out so much “single momma $$” I feel I can’t justify the purchase. Super bummed

Almost a home run

I bought this attachment for myself as a birthday present this past May. I am very pleased with the performance of all of the blades. The dicer works great! I am disappointed that there isn't a way to block the food from the shoot so that it can be used as a legit food processor. I got rid of my food processor so that I could condense my kitchen gadgets... Looks like I'm going to have to buy another one. Kitchen Aid...we need to figure this out.
I would recommend this to a friend!
