Don't waste your money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could leave a ZERO star review, I would. The "shred" blade is useless. After pre-cutting everything to fit in the feed tube that is no larger than a tube of toothpaste, the blade simply sucks things in and spins them around until they are mush. I'm SOOO thrilled to have shelled out the cash to buy this attachment to prolong my cooking process AND make more dishes to clean up. My knife and cutting board were already out and dirty since I had to precut my veggies, but then I got to attempt to feed them into the attachment only to need to transfer everything back to the cutting board and do it by hand. Yay, Kitchenaid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worth the investment

No chopper blade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the ad I purchased this item off of there was clearly a chopping blade advertised. There was even a video of it doing it’s thing. It is why I purchased this large attachment. There was even a pamphlet in the box on how to use the chopping blade…… i kid you not…. A pamphlet in the box on how to use a blade not included in my box. That’s just adding insult to injury. I didn’t need a slicer / shredder this size but now I have one. Yay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is NOT a food processor. It is a fancy slicer. The dicing option would be nice but it did NOT come with it. Not sure i need such a fancy slicer since i already have several mandolines and sharpknives. Inconsistent thickness of slices. Well made, good quality but why fo i need this?

Great addition

So as not to add another big appliance to my small counter top this was a perfect addition. I especially like the dicing feature. I ordered the processor earlier but found it didn't have that .So it was returned with no problems to kitchenaid and ordered this. I would recommend this add on to the already great mixer.
