This is NOT a Food Processor

I wanted a Food Processor to make pesto or other types of pureed items - but this does not do that - how do you call it a food processor? Very disappointed in this product.

Food Processor attachment "Froze".

I bought this attachment last year but just started using it this month. At first, it worked really great. I was dicing onions and all of a sudden it locked up. I've tried calling the 1-800-541-6390 and was in 94th position to talk to someone. I don't think the battery on my phone will last that long.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the food processor attachment for at least 6 months and it I a great time saver. I love the slicer, especially since you can adjust the thickness easily. I preserve my vegetables and fruits. This makes quick work to prep them. I use the dicer to can relishes and make fresh pick de gallo. This attachment has to be a part of your Kitchenaid arsenal, well worth it!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Houseing Cracked!

Hello, this is my sixth time using the food processor. I was dicing carrots and sweet potatoes in the food processor. The housing cracked and now it makes a noise like it gets hung up and I can't use it. I paid a lot of money for all the attachements and am highly disappointed because I don't have money to go out and buy a different stand alone food processor. Also, the feed tube is too narrow. I have to cut the items up too small. It takes too much time.

Doesn't work as advertised

I bought this attachment for my new KitchenAid Mixer. I was hoping to replace my small 20 year old food processor. I tried the dicing kit on onions and it failed miserably. Left onion in the top undiced and there was a lot of onion stuck in it that had to be pushed out. Then I tried grating cold hard cheddar cheese and you can see by the photos what happened and this was on the lowest setting. Cheese collected under the shredder and bunched up in the chute. Also the shredded product had clumps in it which I had to pick out before sprinkling the cheese over my enchiladas. Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I could leave a ZERO star review, I would. The "shred" blade is useless. After pre-cutting everything to fit in the feed tube that is no larger than a tube of toothpaste, the blade simply sucks things in and spins them around until they are mush. I'm SOOO thrilled to have shelled out the cash to buy this attachment to prolong my cooking process AND make more dishes to clean up. My knife and cutting board were already out and dirty since I had to precut my veggies, but then I got to attempt to feed them into the attachment only to need to transfer everything back to the cutting board and do it by hand. Yay, Kitchenaid.
