Problem with food processor attachment

I bought the kitchenaid commercial 8 qt mixer less than a month ago. About 3 weeks later, I bought the food processor attachment. It appears the shaft of the food processor will not reach the hub of the mixer to turn it. Plus, the screw in the mixer that is supposed to hold the attachment in is too wide to screw in far enough.
Anybody else have this problem?

Not a Food Processor

This is not a food processor, this is a salad shooter. Bought this instead of a stand alone food processor. One of the biggest uses is for batch food prep including processing cauliflower for pizza and various types of pureeing. This machine is not capable of pureeing anything. It is a very nice slicer and dicer, but that is all it is. It is not a food processor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this expecting a “food processor” to make sauces, refine almond flour for macarons, etc…. That is not what this is! It is a sad excuse for a shredder rebranded. Very upset that they would use the words interchangeably. Do not buy!

I bought this for the dicing feature and it works great! I use it to make fresh salsa for canning in the summer. One of my favorite attachments! My only issue is it can be hard to clean the dicing insert itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this Food Processor

I’m so happy with this Food Processor Attachment. We use it to slice up veggies for salads & love it for shredding cheese. After I had found out about the preservatives in the shredded store bought, I bought this.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this and only use it 6 times I put it up for 3 months then try it would not work but my other attachments work so it wasn’t my mixer

Faster and better by hand

I bought this around Christmas thinking I could consolidate my equipment since this is called a FOOD PROCESSOR... however, I was wrong. Nothing about this processor works as advertised. They’re “smart slicing technology”, whatever it’s called, does not chop consistently and whatever you are slicing be prepared for the last 3” to either be wasted or something you will chop yourself. Long story short, if you have decent knife skills or want an ACTUAL food processor save your money, this is not the product for you.
