Better For Larger Meals/Kitchens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace my old food processor and wasn't blown away. A few pros and cons.
Pros:
-The main innovation is the change in how you secure the lid. Instead of having to twist it into the lock position, you just have to push a clasp down and it's ready to go.
-The slicing attachment works well. I tried it with an onion and it was able to thinly slice the onion.
Cons
-This is not the best food processor for mixing or processing a small amount. The way the blade is positioned doesn't allow it properly blend if there isn't enough in the basin.
-Because of its height, it doesn't fit easily under a shelf or cabinet. I have to disassemble it and store it in a cabinet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very useful appliance

I received this for Christmas two weeks ago and have already made hummus, sliced vegetables for risotto, and grated potatoes for latkes. Having the blade and the disk and the large size bowl is phenomenal!

Worked great until it didn't work at all

I have had this food processor for a couple of years and in the middle of holiday baking this year it just quit working. I finished one batch, cleaned it up and it didnt start up for my second batch.I did all the troubleshooting and nothing. I only use it a handful of times throughout the year. So disappointing. I thought that this would be the same quality as the mixers but from the reviews that I have been reading, it is definitely not of the same quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Kitchenaid always comes through

I'm real old school in that I don't use machines to make dough, but thought well why not. I immediately found a Kitchenaid food processor and am Loving it! It's easy to use AND clean. Makes things SO much easier.

I had a Hamilton Beach food processor since 1998. It worked but only diced and it was inconsistent on size pieces. With this every piece is uniform which works out better in recipes. I've only had it a month or 2 so we'll see if I have a problem with it working six months from now. I'll re-review then but for now, I'm impressed!
