2 Designer Flaws

I bought this food processor because I love my KitchenAid Mixer. I am very unimpressed! This chopper has two major design flaws. First, the dome shaped lid traps food when trying to shred things like cabbage, onions and peppers. Okay, more like purees them rather than shred. It is also awkward to use. I would prefer a screw top lid like my old one. Second, the food pusher is two separate pieces. I accidently put the pusher in upside down and the sphere pusher went into the blade. I had to dump out everything and start over because there were shards of plastic in my food. The sphere pusher should lock into the larger pusher or it should just be one piece altogether. I'm not sure why they did this. You have to use both so food doesn't fly everywhere.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke a few months after use

We purchased a KFP0718 13 months ago but only used it for the past 6 months.
We are very disappointed that it suddenly stopped working last week while preparing cookie batter. We expected much better quality from Kitchen Aid appliances.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Junk Processor

This processor has only experienced light usage since purchased- shredded cheese and making breadcrumbs occasionally. However, the handle just slid off the bowl one day when I lifted it from the base. I looked into getting a replacement bowl to no avail. I have been using it as is, but I need to press the spring on the side to get it going, but this is becoming less reliable. I am a loyal Kitchenaid customer but feel so disappointed by the quality of this item

Easy to use, perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the simplicity of the model and the 7 cup capacity is perfect - not too big and not too small. I use it mostly to make cauliflower rice and to slice vegetables for soups or gratins. I've also made biscuits using the pulse function. Comes out perfect every time.

I have arthritis in my hands and is now difficult for me to to cut, chop and especially grate manually. This beautiful processor takes care of it all!

STOPPED WORKING!

I bought this as a gift for my mother because she has almost every single KitchenAid appliance except this one. She absolutely loved it because it was a lot smaller than the bigger processor and the fourth time she went to use it, it didn't turn on. We tried all the troubleshooting directions with no result. I tried contacting KitchenAid through the automated chat but they said I had to call in for the warranty. I tried calling for the warranty and was on hold for 20 minutes and then it said it had to call me back. I waited a half hour for the call back and once I got it, it stated that they couldn't get a representative so they would call me back within a week! I'm still waiting for that call back! So disappointed with KitchenAid right now.

Very Disappointed

I've had this Kitchenaid food processor for just under a year. I've used it about a half dozen times. Today it simply quit on me. Dead. I unplugged it and let it sit as stated in the instruction manual, then plugged it back in and tried again. Nothing. I tried different outlets. Nothing. To say I'm disappointed is a huge understatement. I buy Kitchenaid specifically because of their reputation for quality. It appears that they, like so many other manufacturers have let quality slide.
