Perfect for veggies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for chopping onions without making me cry! I’ve even put in cloves of garlic, which you think would be too small but it minces the garlic really well.
It is sturdy and good quality. I like that there is a feature in the lid so you can drizzle in oil for making salad dressings. It allows the oil to drizzle in slowly to allow the ingredients to emulsify.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great food processor!

Everything is packaged nicely and all parts can go inside the processor for storage. The lid comes off which makes it easy to clean. I’ve made salsa and a cauliflower purée and it turned out great! Plus it makes a decent amount, 7 cups! Would recommend to family and friends

Thoughtful design features and easy cleanup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food processor is the perfect size for day-to-day jobs around the kitchen! I appreciate that it isn’t oversized as I don’t like to have small kitchen appliances taking up valuable storage space. My favorite feature is that all parts of the food processor are (top rack) dishwasher safe! This makes for an easy cleanup process and you don’t have to worry about cutting yourself while cleaning the blades, which in my opinion, is an added safety precaution. Bonus points for the thoughtful design as it allows both blades to be stored inside the container while not in use.

perfect kitchen tool

It's big enough to make a batch of hummus or chop veggies, but small enough that everything gets blended perfectly. I chop herbs a lot for various dishes like pesto or ethnic foods and this is really helpful in saving me time for chopping.

Capable and solid performer for the essentials

The unit is well designed. Having used blenders and food processors for some time now, one automatically tends to twist and turn the bowl to lock it into place. This unit does not need any twisting or turning.....need to get out of my old habit. All components such as the blade, the shredding disc, etc. are designed to slide into the bowl for storage making the unit quite compact and convenient to store. The design also lends to easier cleaning...both by hand or in the dishwasher. After using it, we just put some water in the used bowl and run a short cycle on medium speed to get most of the stuff out. Then a quick rinse and hand wash in the sink gets it clean.
As for usage, it covers the essentials - chop, puree, shred and slice. These functions are a breeze for the 250W motor although based on past experience with similar processors, grinders and blenders, I am not sure if the motor would be able to handle heavy loads. I do not intend to try it and risk destroying it but it has been my experience that more wattage is needed for heavier loads.
A few niggles - I wish there was a dough blade included. For small families, this addition would make this a more complete package. I am not sure if the dough blade included in the other Kitchen food processors will work with this unit. Will have to check this out. Also, the power cord could have been a bit longer. The shorter cord forces usage to areas close to power outlets.
Overall, a solid combination of the essentials in a well designed product that is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.

Makes for a great gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been experimenting with this food processor for a few weeks now. Its the first one I've ever owned and I'm really enjoying it. We've been growing veggies all summer so we had plenty on hand to make some salsa (chips and salsa is one of my favorite snacks). I was able to find a recipe on the kitchenaid website and it turned out so good, reminded me of restaurant salsa. I've been using Pinterest for ideas for things to make and have been making tons of stuff using this machine. Its come in handy for other things too like shredding cheese and chopping meat. I had no idea you could do so much with a food processor! This one is so easy to use and cleaning is simple! Kitchenaide is a great brand that i can always count on for quality products. Really happy I found this machine, gonna buy the exact one for my friend and her soon to be hubby. I know it will make a nice wedding gift.
