Capable and solid performer for the essentials

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid 7 cup food processor is a capable and solid performer for taking care of the essentials.
The unit is well designed. Having used blenders and food processors for some time now, one automatically tends to twist and turn the bowl to lock it into place. This unit does not need any twisting or turning.....need to get out of my old habit. All components such as the blade, the shredding disc, etc. are designed to slide into the bowl for storage making the unit quite compact and convenient to store. The design also lends to easier cleaning...both by hand or in the dishwasher. After using it, we just put some water in the used bowl and run a short cycle on medium speed to get most of the stuff out. Then a quick rinse and hand wash in the sink gets it clean.
As for usage, it covers the essentials - chop, puree, shred and slice. These functions are a breeze for the 250W motor although based on past experience with similar processors, grinders and blenders, I am not sure if the motor would be able to handle heavy loads. I do not intend to try it and risk destroying it but it has been my experience that more wattage is needed for heavier loads.
A few niggles - I wish there was a dough blade included. For small families, this addition would make this a more complete package. I am not sure if the dough blade included in the other Kitchen food processors will work with this unit. Will have to check this out. Also, the power cord could have been a bit longer. The shorter cord forces usage to areas close to power outlets.
Overall, a solid combination of the essentials in a well designed product that is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store.

Awesome, Awesome food processor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new KitchenAide food processor!! The first thing I made after a got it was an Oreo cookie cheesecake desert. I used the the food processor to crumble the Oreo cookies used for the crust and the top. Within seconds the start blades had the cookies perfectly crumbled!! This food processor is easy to use! Simply put it together and add your product that needs chopped or grated. Seconds later you have your finished product. The processor is easy to take apart and cleans up easily. I have the 7 cup, and it is light and compact for easy storage!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t have anything but good things to say about this product. I love KitchenAid products. I make a lot of biscuits I will use it to cut my butter into the flour. It makes so much easier on my hands since I use very cold or frozen butter. It is great for emulsifying olive oil into vinegar to make a wonderful dressing. Great for chopping and shredded vegetables.

The top rack is dishwasher safe, which encourages regular use because of its convenience. It's easy to use and the whole process is straightforward. It also looks pretty sitting on the counter. Love having it in the kitchen!

Compact and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Kitchen Aid food processor! It's compact so it doesn't take up much space and you can even store the disc blade inside the machine. It's also easy to use and clean and not very loud. But best of all, it works well. My favorite feature, that I have never had in my other food processors, is the 2 piece food pusher. The inner piece has a small hole that allows oil to drip through slowly so I can make garlic paste or mayonnaise successfully. I definitely recommend this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this KitchenAid food processor. I have a couple of KitchenAid appliances and this one lives up to the brand name. It is very powerful and yet it is super quiet compared to other food processors I have used. I really like the cup size and how easy it is to clean. It doesn't have a lot of fancy buttons that I never used that was on my old food processor. It is just a straight forward processor that is easy to operate . It is very well made and a good value. I would highly recommend this.

It’s very powerful and does everything you need it to do. The blades are so easy to clean after we put it through a very strong usage. If you are looking to buy a food processor look know more this is the best one we have ever used.
