Great for rice and beans. Need more information.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have some work to do to take full advantage of the grain and rice cooker. It works great for rice and beans. However, there is very little information included to tell how to do custom things. I would love to see more details in the manual and maybe some recipes that use them. Also, it would be great to see some recipes that add ingredients other than water to the pot and be able to make a full dish in it. That would help to align usefulness with price.

I love it and it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it!! It is super easy to use and I don’t have to worry about over cooking the rice or burning it. I was finally able to make the perfect rice. I also steamed eggs in it. Cleaning up after the rice was super easy as I used the pre-wash function to set me up for a easy clean up. The only down side is the price. While I think it is worth it for the tech it is too expensive for me and definitely a luxury item.

The expensive worthy rice cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an expensive item, but you wife loves it and thinks it is worth it (even though she did not pay for it). The rice cooker makes cooking rice a breeze and it always comes out as one would hope. So, worth it but it will cost you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting one for so long. Love how you can cook so many things with it. I used it last night with minute rice so I don’t know if you can use that kind. It worked but not fully cooked. So I’ll be getting regular rice for next time.

Super excited because I often just eyeball the amount of rice I want to make and now this figures out the right amount of water so I don't have to! Rice was awesome, steaming broccoli came out great. Looking forward to trying it with pasta.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an amazing appliance! My family eats so much rice. The KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker makes dinner time so much easier. I love absolutely everything about it: the integrated scale and water scale, water reservoir, steamer to add my favorite vegetables, and the ability to program up to a day in advance . The cleanup was amazingly quick and easy. Anyone who eats rice on a regular basis will want to treat themselves to the KitchenAid Grain and Rice Cooker.

Everyday best friend! Super convenient!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh busy life. Who have time for cooking? I was skeptical, but this appliance exceeded my expectations. And I’m the picky one.
First, it’s a very beautifully designed, creates upscale look on my kitchen and matches others high end appliances. I’ve got lots of compliments and questions about it .
Comes with colorful and useful cook booklet.
I’ve tried rice, beans, oats and barley , comes out perfect every time and you can choose how dense or soft you need your grains to be cooked. Steaming basket gives many possibilities to make variety of foods.
Best part - everything is automatic !! No measurements, no mistakes! It works for you, and very high quality touch display guides your every step!
On/off switch, convenient button to open. Very easy to clean. Perfect capacity for big or small recipes.
Only one minor inconvenience is that l leave fingerprints on top of the lid, while closing it . I used wet paper towel without any chemicals to wipe it on a picture.
It takes time to cook, very quiet, has option to keep it warm and delayed start.
Basically, makes my busy life easier with stile.
I Highly recommend this grain (and not only grain) cooker. Planning to buy one more, as a gift for my daughter.

Pleasantly surprised and versatile device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I take my rice really seriously, and this rice cooker is definitely impressive. There is a scale under the pot to weigh the rice/grains/beans, so once the rice has been washed add it to the pot. The water should be filled so the machine can dispense water. You can choose how you like your rice cooked and you can steam your food! Honestly, I'm really impressed by kitchenaid, I've only used asian brand rice cookers and this can compete.
My only issue is that I can't wash my rice jn the pot since it must have nothing in it for the machine to weigh the grain. Also I cant really Sautee in it. But overall I quite enjoy it.
