Nice Product but a Problem for Those with Arthritis

If you've got arthritis in your hands bad enough to make removing child-proof caps difficult, this is not the product for you. It works but it's painful to use.

Not a great seal

Our canisters stay sealed overnight maybe 40% of the time. We are using them properly with the little green ring being exposed and not putting in water. Was hoping they’d work better than they do.

I'm loving my canisters. I ordered one black and one glass Atmos and they are perfect for storing my coffee. My only suggestion is trying to replace the "silicon" (is that silicon? rubber? :sweat_smile:) ring between the lid and canister. Or at least covering the outside with something else, as this material is a magnet for dust. A "click" when the button gets green would be nice too. :wink:

These are exactly as advertised, superior quality, vacuum-sealed. And they hold 16oz of coffee perfectly.
For me, that's the get; because I order my coffee in at 2lb/5lb. I noticed, especially with the 5lb, that none of my storage solutions were maintaining the flavor in that last 1-2lbs. My 3 canisters who 3-lbs, perfectly, and I can have confidence that I can take my time consuming it, and they'll stay great.
I also got the black versions, and have used a "chalkboard" marker to label the bean source on each canister.

Quality Issues with Lid

The Atmos Vacuum Canister (1.2L, clear glass) was part of my first Fellow order. The initial lid struggled to hold seal for more than 24 hours. Customer service suggested that I take apart the lid and blow in the slit to clear out potential dust. Eventually a replacement lid was sent out. So far it seems to hold seal better than the original one. Fellow should ensure quality of the lids.

Thin glass, lots of twisting.

I do love these containers but there are some issues with it. The first being that the glass is very thin, to a point that I am very cautious when setting it down on a granite countertop. The other is that if you have any sort of repetitive movement trauma to your forearm, wrist, or hands as I do, twisting it back and forth to get the airlock can actually hurt, as it takes a good 20 back and forth twists for it to be air tight. Other than that, I do recommend these for keeping your coffee beans super fresh.

The current version of Atmos is improved over the early version I previously purchased (still fine). The filter under the metal screen should keep dust out of the pump valve, and the pump mechanism works better (moves air with less effort).
