Nice way to store coffee beans since oxidation destroys the beans freshness. According to James Hoffmann "light is not a friend" to coffee beans, so I bought the solid black. Easy way to store beans

The canister works well, but it says the largest size can hold a lb of coffee beans, and it does not. So I'm still left with leaving some beans in the bag after filling the canister.

Gasket material

I really like the container. However, the rubber gasket material has a strong odor which makes contents smell as well.

It is a pretty coffee

It is a pretty coffee bean jar. I liked the concept of it. Unfortunately, I could never get the lid to pressurize and the green dot would never show up. We tried two different lids (asked for a replacement) and still no luck. I would twist the lid up to 40 times sometimes, but nothing. Great concept, with lots of style, and little substance. Can find much cheaper coffee bean vaccum canisters.
