[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though it is smaller inside than we're used to, it has solid clean lines. We'll get used to a bit less space. Our other fridge was over crammed, so this feels good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new Frigidaire! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the ice maker doesn’t work. However, Frigidaire is sending a repairman and has handled the issue kindly and with speed. I particularly like the feature of the ice maker in the freezer rather than in the refrigerator portion. It takes up less space. Looking forward to many years of service.

A Wonderful Refrigerator (so far)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator because of its many excellent design features. Its relatively small size fits the reduced dimensions that come with urban apartment living. The twin doors of the refrigerated compartment are ideal in a small kitchen because, when open, they occupy half the space in front of the appliance than would a single door. In addition, placing the freezer at the bottom rather than the top just makes sense, since I constantly need access to the refrigerated space, while I open the freezer less often. This means that I never need to bend down to gain access to the area that I use the most. Care has also been given to the design of the interior space. Rather than place the light fixtures at the rear of the overhead wall or the two side walls where they can be blocked, these have been placed just inside the doors at the front of the unit so that light shines back into the whole compartment and is not blocked. The extra-deep shelves lining the insides of the French doors are another thoughtful feature. These are ideal for storing taller items such as bottles or cartons of liquids, which might otherwise be difficult to remove from the main area of the refrigerated compartment, where they would also block sight of anything stored behind them. In this way, the shelves of the main compartment can be used to store items that are more horizontal in shape, such as pots, pans, casseroles, Pyrex trays or large items in general. The same attention to detail has been given to the design of the freezer compartment, into which we need to look, not from front to back—as in the main refrigerated compartment—but from top to bottom. Here, on top of the spacious bottom-most freezer compartment, there are two shallow drawers that slide out. These function as two layers, in effect creating easy access to two compartments stacked vertically. They eliminate the need to dig into the depth of a single frozen block of layered items in one freezer compartment. I really appreciate this. Finally, the largest area at the bottom of the freezer is lined by a sturdy plastic container, which is removable for easy cleaning. This means that I will not have to bend over to clean it or keep the freezer door open while doing so. If this Frigidaire is as durable as it is well designed, I will be very pleased indeed.
