Frig gives up on Christmas. Ugh.

We were able to put everything from our overloaded old two door 26 Cu. Ft. refrigerator into it, with room to spare! In our case, we wanted to get away from the in the door ice dispenser. It exceeded our expectations!!

Compact but powerful

I did extensive research and finally found this Frigidaire that met all my needs, and the ratings were very positive. I waited several months to rate it in order to get a feel for it to see if I’d too, be fully satisfied—and I am!
I was skeptical about 21st century refrigerators, as I’m not a fan of computer chips controlling all aspects of home appliances. However, this Frigidaire does not force you to accept default programming, as many modern appliances do. It’s a hybrid, so I have full control of the aspects I need, while the fridge controls the basics: thermostat, defrosting and motor. I have control of the temperature for both the top and freezer bottom, and have disengaged the ice maker because I don’t want it and it allows that.

The finish is a muted protected stainless steel which barely shows any prints or water marks, unlike other brands’ purported stainless steel finishes that glaringly display dried drops and greasy prints. This was also a major factor in my decision to choose Frigidaire.
It’s also perfect for smaller kitchens (mine is 10’ x 10’), so every millimeter counts. This model is truly counter depth and fits in the confined space of my 1988 kitchen layout.
It easily glides in and out for cleaning and its interior design also makes for easy wipes of spills and crumbs.

My husband does ask that Frigidaire reconsider the three storage units in the freezer. He
thinks it’s one too many, but I like the three compartments, so we’re split on that.

A heads up: you will not find this great Frigidaire model in any big box chain stores. It’s sold exclusively through mom-and-pop or regional retailers. That’s what gives it its quality, as big box retailers demand exclusivity and tweaking of the appliance to serve their throw-away mentality (i.e., keep the customer coming back to spend more) at the expense of quality, longevity, consumer needs and consideration.
