No freezer lamp.

So fear we really like our refrigerator. However, each time I open the freezer it irks me that it is dark and I need an external light source to see the contents. Also and additional shelf would be very helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I AM AMAZED AT CAPACITY OF THE INTERIOR OF THIS FRIDGE. WE BUILT A SMALLER HOME AND THIS FRIDGE IS TINY ON THE OUTSIDE AND BIG BIG BIG ON THE INSIDE. GREAT FRIDGE. ALL MY APPLIANCES IN MY HOME ARE FRIGIDAIRE AND THEY WILL CONTINUE TO BE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thrilled with our new fridge, after upgrading from the most basic “landlord special” fridge that came with our apartment 12 years ago. The top fridge design with the french doors and counter depth makes it really easy to see and access all our fresh food and the bottom freezer drawers are really easy to use.
And most importantly, it fit in our space, with room to stand directly in front of the refrigerator and open both the doors fully, (in an NYC apartment galley kitchen, this is a big deal!)
It’s super quiet, as well. Running a water line to the space wasn’t feasible, so I can’t speak to the ice maker.

Could use a few minor upgrades

My Frigidaire refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had bad luck with refrigerators so I am hoping I have better luck with the Frigidaire. I do miss the water in the door that I had with my previous Whirlpool, but that refrigerator was only 7years old and the compressor went out.
I like the seals at the top of the crispers drawers, with this helping to keep things fresher longer.

New Refer in Old House....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the only available "full size" model, of any brand, that would fit both through our door (sliding glass door) and into the space for it, so it was a "Hobson's Choice" to get it. It's 5 cu ft smaller, and 3" taller than the one it replaced, just barely fitting under the cabinets above it. It's "counter depth" but this means it has to be pulled forward to the "standard" position so the doors open-- no standard depth available that wasn't also too tall. Would also have preferred white to match the other appliances and the sink, but again, there was only one choice-- stainless steel. Still getting used to not having the space the old one had-- need to go shopping more often now, and can't cook "several days worth" all at the same time.
