If the controls do not respond even when following the instructions in the owner's manual, this may indicate an issue that requires service.

For the freezer light concern, some refrigerator models are designed without a dedicated freezer light, depending on the configuration. We understand that having additional lighting would be convenient and appreciate you sharing that feedback.
