Great fridge, terrible noise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my fridge for a little less than a month, and it's working well. The fridge part is bright, and I love the side shelves/bins. I also like the different drawers in the freezer, and I haven't minded the fact that there is no light down there. My only complaint is that it started making a terribly annoying noise about one week into ownership, and it drives me bananas.

These sounds normally indicate the refrigerator is operating correctly. Some surfaces on floors, walls, and kitchen cabinets may make these sounds more noticeable. You will see the normal operating sound on page 21 of the Complete Owner's Guide manual for this concern. I've been looking for this refrigerator for years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in a small condo built in the 70's has it's challenges. Small places for appliances such as water heaters and refrigerators as examples. As the refrigerator that came with the place slowly died (thankfully) with it's wire shelves and freezer on top, I had been looking for a modern replacement. Unfortunately, most that would fit in my small space were the same freezer on top models. Finally I found a freezer on the bottom and french door model that fit perfectly in my space. Love it!!!!!

Beautiful Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this a month ago, very nice and is a beautiful stainless steel color, not too shiny and silvery...sort of a dark stainless color. My old refrigerator was the same size, but freezer on top and this one has much more room! I love the freezer on the bottom.
Very quiet.
My only complaint & the reason I did not give it 5 stars was because after it was unpacked and installed, we inspected it and there was a large gouge-like dent in the lower right side!
I don't understand why Frigidaire cannot pack these so that they don't get damaged in shipping. They had already taken our old refrigerator & put it in the truck, we would have had to wait about 3 days for a replacement and we had all this food to put back. So we accepted it and had to fight for a less than reasonable amount of credit from the dealer. (They said they only get 10% of the price of the fridge back from Frigidaire. ). It's horrible that you pay full price for a refrigerator, and they're quite expensive today, and it arrives all damaged.
So I love the refrigerator, just wish there was a way the consumer could be sure it wouldn't arrive damaged!

Looks nice and sleek but had issues less than a week after it was delivered

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge looks nice and has good storage. However, it started freezing all the food in the refrigerator portion less than a week after it was delivered. A technician already had to come out to my house and apparently there is a computerized mechanism that opens and closes the damper that is malfunctioning with the fridge leaving the damper open at all times constantly blowing cold air from the freezer. The thermostat is set to 45, which is the highest setting, but the fridge temperature is actually 15 degrees. The new part is on order and I'm hopeful it will resolve the issue but not overly optimistic. The frigid temps also caused the water filter that makes ice to crack and was leaking water in the fridge. Hopefully the retailer that I purchased the fridge from will replace that at no cost since the fridge is less than 2 weeks old.
