It Gets the Job Done
on May 1, 2025
Posted by: MEMAC
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder every day for over two weeks; it has some excellent features that are tempered by a few issues. For the sake of brevity, below are my ratings.
1. Weight: 5/5
This vacuum is remarkably lightweight and easy to move around. I’ve always had an upright, corded vacuum so the experience of using a cordless version is great. This vacuum is light enough that my young children can actually pick it up and joyfully vacuum with it, which is a win/win for all of us.
2. Comfort/ergonomics: 2/5
The handle is pretty awful on this vacuum. After a longer vacuuming sprees I have to change hands just for some respite. Something about the way the bottom part of the handle presses on my knuckles makes it fairly painful to hold for long periods of time.
3. Headlights: 5/5
Almost too good. These lights are BRIGHT and they see EVERYTHING. The cracks, the gouges, the miniscule pieces of hair and lint—all is revealed. I’ve never had a vacuum with such great lights and I will say that I felt better about the cleanliness of my floors before I could see them like this.
4. Sturdiness: 4/5
The lightness of the vacuum is due, in part, to its aluminum frame. While this makes it super accessible and easy to lift, it also results in some serious squeaks after a few runs. Keep in mind that I am vacuuming quite a lot of footage at least once a day, so this vacuum has already seen some mileage. Anytime I rotate the head while vacuuming (like maneuvering it between chair legs or around a corner), the frame squeaks quite loudly. Nothing broken so far, but it complains loudly!
5. Battery Life and Charging: 4/5
I can vacuum my downstairs flooring (around 1700 sq ft) on the lowest setting within one battery charge, around 35-40 minutes. Obviously increasing the vacuuming strength will shorten the battery life, and I have noticed that the battery charge seems to deteriorate faster after the 1st battery bar goes down. However, the battery does charge quite quickly (within a couple of hours).
6. Effectiveness: 3/5
We have pugs, so there’s always plenty of dog hair to vacuum. The brush roll hasn’t tangled yet, and I have long hair so that’s been a problem with other vacuums. However, I have not noticed a significant difference in the amount of “stuff” sucked up while vacuuming with the PowerClean FurFinder versus my corded, upright, bag vacuum. In fact, it might not vacuum quite as well on hard floors as my other vacuum (for example, it had a hard time pulling up spilled dried lentils on wood floors; I had to make several passes to get the strays). It’s also not as powerful as I want it to be on our high-pile carpet, and its vacuum tracks are not as defined as I’d like. I will add that it's easy to separate and the handheld configurations work well for blinds, furniture, crevices, etc.
7. Dirt Cup: 3/5
The dirt cup is fine, for a bagless vacuum. You have to use two hands to empty it, which is kind of annoying, but it clicks in and out easily. I don’t see the point of having a sealed HEPA filtration system when you’re going to literally dump all the dirt and debris into a garbage sack and let those particles wander around in the air again.

8. Overall Assessment: 4/5
Overall, I’d recommend this vacuum but with some reservations. I don’t think it’s a great pick for large homes or for homes with a lot of high-pile carpet, and it might not be high on the list for people who are worried about allergies and air quality. I still feel like my heavier, corded vacuum does a better job pulling up traffic-worn carpet, but that’s probably more of an aesthetic issue than a cleaning one. However, the FurFinder is really very convenient thanks to its cordless and lightweight design; I’ve started keeping it downstairs, where I have the most hard flooring, and I love that I can reach for it and vacuum up crumbs and dirt so easily without the plug-in and cord hassle. I would recommend it for folks with limited storage room (you can mount the vacuum and charger on the wall to get it out of the way), or for families who want a handy, lightweight vacuum on hand for quick spills and clean-ups.

It sucks in a great way it one impressive vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is hands down the best cordless stick vacuum I have ever used! If you’re in the market for a cordless vacuum that packs a pretty strong wallop then the Bissell PowerClean Furfinder is the way to go.
From the moment you take it out of the box and assemble it you can tell it’s going to be easy to use. It’s extremely light and stands up on its own. Other stick vacuums tend to be top heavy but this unit stands up perfectly. Also it’s simple to use, just turn it on with the push of one button and an additional button to control the three speeds. It’s light enough and so easy to use my 12 year old didn’t complain when she had to vacuum the stairs with it.
The biggest thing you will notice about this vacuum, besides the powerful suction, is the headlights. The lights illuminate the ground in front of you like an SUV traveling down a dust filled highway. This worked really well to spot vacuum our cat’s hair out of our dark carpet and area rugs.
Speaking of pet hair the suction on the vacuum does an amazing job cleaning up after our cat. In addition the Furfinder tool is a perfect accessory for this vacuum. It perfectly picked up pet hair off of our upholstered couches leaving them looking and feeling like new. What makes the accessories even more invaluable is the fact they all attach perfectly to the wall mount making an easy to use vacuum even more convenient by keeping everything together.
Whether it’s a full carpet, area rug, or a hard surface you’re going to get a near perfect clean every time! I can’t recommend this vacuum enough! Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Busy mom with human and fur babies timesaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Alright, so I tried the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder, and as a mom juggling 2 wild kids and 2 shedding dogs, it’s honestly a lifesaver! Between my weekly “oh my gosh, the house is a disaster” big vacuum marathons and the robot vacuum buzzing around at night, I didn’t think I needed another gadget, but wow, was I wrong. This cordless little hero is so easy to grab when one of my kids spills Goldfish everywhere or the dogs turn the couch into a fur factory. The FurFinder tool? Magic on pet hair. And the headlights, seriously, who knew I’d love those? They show every fuzzball under the table. One downside, though: on carpet, pulling it back makes the head wiggle, so my OCD kicks in because I can’t get those perfect straight vacuum lines. Totally a me thing, and honestly, it seems more suited for bare floors anyway, those headlights really shine there, lighting up every hair. It’s not my heavy-duty cleaner, but for daily chaos, I’m obsessed. Busy moms with pets, you need this!

Self standing stick vacuum missing a few features
on May 1, 2025
Posted by: jjking83
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros:
Self-standing. This is a great feature every stick vacuum needs. It makes picking up child/dog toys so much easier while vacuuming.
Strong suction. We were very happy with the power of the vacuum to get the dog hair up even on carpet/upholstery.
Removable dust bucket. We enjoyed the removable dust bucket as we felt we had much more control when emptying it compared to those that empty from the bottom.
Integrated light. We have added a light to all our stick vacuums to see dog hair better. This result in a protrusion on the brush that prevents us from getting in tight spots. The integrated lights on the brush head are just what we needed. The brush head fits into tight spaces but we still get the light to see the dog hair we missed.
Cons:
The "stick" of the vacuum is not collapsible/extendable. This result in a vacuum that is very long. I didn't mind the length but it was a definite negative for my wife. My wife also complained that the vacuum is relatively heavy.
The battery is removable, but an extra battery is not provided. This cuts down on time we're able to use the vacuum. Additionally, the mounting stand is not designed to charge just a battery, so you can't charge an extra battery while you continue to vacuum.
Overall, I am pleased with the vacuum and would recommend the vacuum to my friends and family.

Great Stick Vacuum
on May 1, 2025
Posted by: Nicole834
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a great stick vacuum that can cover a lot of space. I appreciate all the accessories that come with it and how easy it is to attach them. We primarily used the vacuum on hard wood and tile flooring with some use on carpet/rugs. It performed very well on hard surfaces and the carpet, with no issues. We have dogs with short fur but they tend to shed and leave hair on our brown fabric couches. The vacuum performed seamlessly on the couches and picked up all the hair without a lot of pads over. I appreciate that I did not need to do a lot of run over on my upholstery like I have had to do with other vacuums. This will make my cleaning routine a lot quicker, especially since I am working with a charge time. One critique is the canister that fills up quickly. That is a lot to say in my home because clearly we have a lot of hair. However, emptying the canister doesn’t take much time and is easy to do in between runs. Also, this is the first vacuum I’ve had that has a headlight and what a game changer that is! I’m able to easily see what is ahead and about to be picked up only to guarantee that one run over picked up all the debris on my flooring! Finally, I just loved this vacuum. This is my second cordless stick vacuum and I am very pleased. It was very lightweight and just super easy to use. I have used another stick vacuum by a competing name brand and this Bissell fur finder supersedes it. I love that this vacuum is self-standing and I don’t have to worry about leaning it on a wall or disassemble part of it in order to walk away from it. Great vacuum and I will highly recommend to others!

Pretty good but not for shag rugs
on May 1, 2025
Posted by: Chessna13
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This vacuum is pretty good. It is easy to use, if maybe a little clunky feeling compared to my higher-end stick vac. The quality seems great for a low- to mid-range vacuum. It feels comparable in quality to my upright vacuum at a similar price point.
The battery life is good. I think I did about 3 cleaning sessions (about 500 sqft each, so approximately 1500 sqft total) before the battery started getting low.
I love that it is free-standing so I can easily leave it mid-vacuum to move things without worrying too much about it tipping over, and then I can easily resume vacuuming.
The headlights are nice. I can easily see what I'm vacuuming, even in dimmer environments. They are not as great as the lasers for highlighting dust and debris though.
I like the wall mount and tools that come with the vacuum. There is a good variety of your standard tools. They work pretty well, although it can be difficult to get them to lock into place properly.
The vacuum works well on low-pile rugs, upholstery, and hard floors, though not very well for picking up fine dust on hard surfaces. It also does not work at all on my shaggy rug. It tangles up in the roller and then stops, so I don't recommend this vacuum if you have long-pile rugs or carpet.
I don't have any pets, so no pet fur around my house for the vacuum to pick up, so I'm not sure if it lives up to its claims there, but I did appreciate how easily you can clean hair out of the dust bin and filter area when emptying the cup. However, even after only a few weeks of use, there are some tangled hairs around the brush roller, so I'm not super impressed there. The brush roller comes out pretty easily to clean, but there isn't access to the inner bar where the hair wraps the most, so I foresee it being an issue with prolonged use, especially if there is anyone with long hair in the house.
In summary:
Pros: Self standing, good battery life, ease of cleaning the filter and dust cup, good lighting, good price.
Cons: Doesn't work on longer pile or shag carpets and rugs, still gets hair-wrap around the brush roller, has a somewhat clunky feel, a little heavy for prolonged use.
All in all, I think it's a decent vacuum for the price, and it has some nice features. I would recommend it for this price range as long you don't have longer-pile or shag carpets or rugs, and you don't need it to dust mop your floors, for instance if you have a lot of wood flooring.

Five star vacuum
on May 1, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough great things about the Bissell PowerClean FurFinder! I had been in the market for a stick vacuum for quick, yet thorough clean up and the FurFinder came to me at the perfect time. A little info about me: Mostly SAHM of toddler, dog with fuzzy/clingy hair, and both carpet and hard flooring in home. Putting together the vacuum was easy as 3 “clicks”- truly that’s all that was needed to assemble.
Oh my goodness- the FurFinder LED lights. These bright lights illuminated everything that our other methods had been missing. Crumbs and dog hair dust bunnies were easily vacuumed up with one pass on both hard wood flooring and carpet.
I am amazed by how quiet the vacuum is and the power. There are 3 power settings, I usually just use the highest setting. The FurFinder attachment made our dog’s sticky hair easy to clean up. Removing the main head of the vacuum to change it into a handheld unit for tight areas can be done with one hand. Unfortunately, I did not install the wall mount charger as we are moving soon, but removing the battery and charging without it was super simple.
Hands down, I would purchase this vacuum again and again! I never thought vacuuming could be fun!

Im No Longer Embarrassed of My Floors
on May 1, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stick vac has been a wonderful addition to our cleaning routine in our home with a messy toddler and a German Shepherd that sheds constantly due to allergies. It is designed to handle pet hair, and it certainly has delivered in our day to day. Overall, I am very pleased with this Bissell vac and find myself reaching for it more than my other cleaning tools.
The headlights are a neat feature—they help illuminate the floor so I can see the crumbs, dirt and dog hair. When I first used it, I was a bit embarrassed at how much hidden hair and debris I had on our floors.
The Fur Finder attachment works great on our sofa and in the car. I was able to get dead grass out of our vehicle carpets effectively and it removed embedded fur from our sofa cushions. I haven’t experienced any issues with tangled hair in the roll brush. I appreciate that the crevice attachment has a brush tip attached. This makes it very simple to switch between tool tips.
The Bissell PowerClean is incredibly lightweight and portable, which is a huge plus when I’m moving room to room with a toddler on my hip or packing it for our RV trips. When I must stop cleaning to chase after my baby, the vacuum can stand up making it easy to pick up where I left off.
The only minor drawback is that it could be a little more powerful and the vacuum head is a bit small, so it doesn’t cover a ton of surface. However, the portability and features make up for that. That said, it’s perfect for everyday tidying and keeping pet hair under control between deeper cleans. I highly recommend this Bissell for pet owners who need something quick, easy and effective.
