I entered this with Bose experience, but none with earbuds or in-ear devices. My ears are particularly difficult to fit in-ear, so I tried these.
They provide the wonderful Bose sound you would expect, with full control available from the app. Direct control for volume, forward/back skip, mode change are somewhat clunky using the buttons on the device(s), but they do function as advertised.
The Immersive audio is very nice, a welcome break from standard left-right stereo. The sound for me was quite full and rich, with good balance across the spectrum. Highs and lows sounded natural when using the flat EQ setting from the app, and playing with different settings was extremely easy. Flat works for me.
The Auto-volume feature is a nice touch on an open air headset. The buds adjust volume depending on the noise level around you (to a point), which is very welcome. Yes, it is a drain on battery life, but nothing is free.
Battery life is fairly accurate as posted in the specs. I achieved a but more, so quite good overall.
I am unable to achieve the volume level I prefer, but I will blame this on my difficult ear fitting. I do wish they could be louder for me, but probably will be sufficient for a person with normal ears. That said, they are quite comfortable, and I have at times forgotten I was wearing them....
....which brings a caution.....
You WILL forget you are wearing them in quiet times, and won't notice when one is missing.... until it bounces off the floor beneath you.... if you are that lucky. Be cautious.
Another great product from Bose. Highly recommended.

So comfortable and great sound!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only had these for about a month, but I love how comfortable they are! In-ear and on-ear headphones always hurt my ears, but you can barely tell these are on. Even after hours of wearing them, they’re still comfortable. The immersive audio is a really cool listening experience too. Super easy to set up with the app.

I've had my Bose Ultra Open Earbuds for two weeks. These are the most comfortable earbuds I've owned; I forget I'm wearing them! They're perfect for the gym!! I really love the sound quality when listening to music, so immersive and beautiful! However, people have told me they cannot hear me well when we are talking on the phone. For me, it's really about the comfort and especially the music!!!

I bought this about3 weeks ago. I was surprised at the simplicity the controls that is on the apps. but the sound blew me off on open ear, but not so surprise because I trust bose product ,any time of day I got 2 different speakers& now this new headset.

I've had these for approximately 3 weeks now and wear them every day. I am not a techy person and had my last phone for 8 years, only upgrading after features stopped working. I purchased these because of the unique wearbility function. My old headphones were beats by drea behind wraparound and started to cause significant ear pain. These bose headphones are intuitive and super easy to connect. I fell asleep wearing them and it easily slipped down my ear without rubbing. I recently connected the app to learn more about the functions and personalization. The features are a bonus to me, as my primary use is Spotify and an occasional phone call. I would give it a perfect score if bose allowed one of the personalizations to be volume rather than pause/stero mode. Overall, minor issue for the comfort gained
