I love the ultra open earbuds! I don’t like earbuds that plug into the ear canal, very uncomfortable. The Bose open earbuds don’t plug into the ear canal. So, they are much more comfortable, and I can listen to music for as long as I want without any discomfort. Highly recommended.

I purchased these because I don’t like traditional ear buds that are lodged in the ear canal. Typical Bose sound with rich base and clarity of sound. Perfect for physical activity, the stay securely in place. I am able to interact with the world around me and hold conversations in the open air mode. Full immersion a simple touch of the ear bud transitions to full immersion for a complete Bose sound experience. Easy placement and removal. Very comfortable, when I am not playing music I have forgotten that I even had them on.

These earbuds are good, I wish they sat a little further into my ear so I could get the full quality of the sound…. even though it’s probably better that it does not, so as to protect one’s hearing! I’m still getting used to walking around with them clipped to my ear, and have to remind myself that they’re there, because they fall off fairly easy. Even though I still prefer my Bose Sport that hung around my neck, I would buy these again, the sound quality is good and I can still get lost in my music!

Love the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds

I love them! Several months ago I purchased the QuietComfort Earbuds, they were the most comfortable to date but, when out and about I could only wear one earbud at a time due to the effective noise cancelling. I did not want to buy a second pair so soon, but with the 90 day trial I gave it a try. I can now take my morning walk and listen to a book or podcast and still hear the birds sing. Bonus, I love it that they sit outside the ear canal, so much more comfortable. I don't usually write reviews but am so happy with the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, that I wanted to share the good news,

Form vs Function

I have been happy with the sound quality when just using these for music or streaming which I know if the primary intent. However, I bought these to use for work calls via Bluetooth on my pc or my phone. Feedback from listeners is the sound is not good on their end. I do love the open ear style and this was my primary reason for purchasing since I have had ear pain from over the ear headsets and I do not like earbuds. Unfortunately, I have received enough complaints that the form is not outweighing the function for the cost.

Sorry that you are having difficulty during calls. Firmware update 4.0.22 was released to bring enhancements to your far-end call performance, via improved voice pickup. Try installing this update (or later) via the Bose app, and see if the issue improves.

Had these earbuds for a few weeks. Was a little skeptical because how they fit. But I love them. I didn’t like the idea of having something pushed inside my ears but these feel good. And the sound is awesome…as always with Bose.

Good design but just for single use

I love them for working out, I can hear traffic and things going on around me however, no one can hear me on a phone call so I am forced to switch to different ear buds. So I am going to have to return these sadly.

If nobody can hear you on a phone call, then try installing firmware update 4.0.22 (or later), which was released to bring enhancements to your far-end call performance via improved voice pickup.
