I love the sound when I’m listening to music or watching a show in my phone. The issue is when I’m taking a call, my callers say the sound is horrible. I’ve even been told I’m echoing or sound like I’m under water.

Connectivity Issues and Underwhelming Quality

I recently purchased the Bose Ultra Earbuds, expecting premium sound and quality given Bose’s reputation, but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. In addition to the other drawbacks, I encountered significant connectivity issues with the Bose Ultra Earbuds. Pairing them with my devices was inconsistent, with frequent dropouts and interruptions during playback. Even after following all troubleshooting steps, the connection would often lag or disconnect entirely, particularly in busy environments with multiple Bluetooth signals.

I am overall happy with these earbuds, but there are a couple of small issues I’ve noticed. In-ear earbuds always hurt my ears, and I don’t want to wear over-ear headphones at work because I don’t want them to impede my hearing of my surroundings. So these are perfect for that! However, a couple of times, one or the other bud has difficulty connecting. And when pausing and playing media, the buds lag at different speeds, so one will start playing and then the other, and it’s jarring.

More cons than pros

More cons than pros, but I needed an open ear option and this fits the bill. Call quality is not great, volume is not the best and they are not compatible with iPhone voice notifications. But they are open ear.

I love these earbuds but they are not perfect. I have had issues with the right earbud de sync from the left it also loses battery faster than the left one. The charging port on the base broke after only having them a week. Even after all that they are super comfortable and sound great! My only other gripe is they are too expensive.

Game changer for out of ear headphones. Music is so clear while being able to hear all surroundings which is important to me because of all six of my kids that need my attention

After 3 months of use I can say the Ultra Open Earbuds’ sound/fit/comfort are all great. Battery life Is…ok. Luckily they charge relatively quickly. The Bluetooth connection (iPhone 15 Pro Max) has been terrible. I lose connection to one earbud pretty often with PiP. The app will also unpair randomly, so I can be connected in phone settings while listening to something, but the app will report a failure to connect. I’ve been through all the recommended steps to resolve without any improvement. That said, I didn’t have any issues until the latest firmware update, so hopefully that goes away soon. I see the UO Earbuds as the more convenient and discreet evolution of the Bose Soundwear, which I still love and use …while my buds charge. Overall, the concept is awesome and the initial execution is promising but leaves me wanting more. I hope Bose expands on the UOE and delivers a polished 2nd gen.
