Never thought I could enjoy such great sound and keep earbuds on the whole day without the slightest pain, and soo satisfying being able to hear the world around when I need to so easily : ))

I have got these earbuds and I have complained about them as I really don't like them. The call quality has been really poor. I have got the ultra open and my dad has got the ultra earbuds 2nd gen, but both of them have really terrible call quality, they keep disconnecting and can barely hear the other person. I have been using bose for the longest time, the previous ones were much better.

I have very sensitive ears so I've always had to opt to wear earphones that don't go directly within my ear canal. I bought the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live and although they got the job done, they would hurt or fall after a while and battery was starting to deteriorate. I saw these Ultra Open Earbuds and was instantly hooked but after using these for almost a year, they have potential of being the best open earbuds but at the moment, they don't meet their pricepoint. Cons: 1. Microphone: If you plan on using the microphone of these earbuds, don't bother. Every single call I've had with these, no one was able to hear me. I would either have to change input to the phone microphone or take one earbud out and hold it directly next to my mouth. At this point just advertise it as if there is no microphone. 2. Connectivity: I own a Samsung Galaxy S23+ and these buds are definitely not as seemless as the Samsung branded earbuds. I would sometimes run into issues where the buds would not connect to my phone forcing me to forget the buds and reconnect. Although I'm glad they implemented the dual connect feature, it would occasionally play off my second device instead of the current device I'm using which got slightly annoying. 3. Sound: In terms of sound quality, for open earbuds, they're good at providing rich sound while also maintaining your privacy from the outside. Yes, there is some leakage but it would only be noticeable in very quiet settings and you're playing at ~75%+ sound. My main concern from the sound is that the earbuds would randomly make loud cracking/crackling sounds, more frequently when initially taking them out of the case. This actually hurt my ears and now I'm more precarious when taking them out. I let them sit out for a bit prior to putting in my ear to avoid and these noises since it hurt my ears. Pros: Comfort: These are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever worn. Sometimes I would forget that they're in my ear and accidentally walk into the shower with them on. I love the design of it too and it has only fallen out once when I took a nasty fall when bouldering. Battery: Better battery life than any truly wireless bud I've worn before. It almost makes it through my day and it recharges very quickly. Features: Love how theres a physical button and the controls are easy to navigate. The app allows for more advanced features such as the equalizer tool and different modes/shortcuts which is a nice touch. Overall, these are still my day to day buds because of how comfortable they are. If I knew this information prior to purchasing it, I most likely would've never spent the whopping 300 dollars on it mostly due to the microphone and sound issues.

I’m disappointed

I would have given them a four, however, they have started intermittently skipping. Sounds like static. Today, the right one quit completely. They are about 3 or 4 months … new! Bose, these need to be replaced!! Also they are a little heavy and the speaker doesn’t stay up on my ear. They fall backward due to the weight. They are very lightweight but the cartilage on my ear doesn’t hold them forward into the ear. The sound is Bose quality. I don’t have an issue with that. But the intermittent skipping (static like sound) and the right one completely silent leads me to believe this pair is defective.

I bought my Ultra Open Earbuds couple of months ago. Earbuds are awesome for listening to music - I especially use them during workouts, so I can hear what is happening around me. I love the sound, use immersive audio often, but I have been getting complaints lately from people that the call quality is really bad and they can't hear me properly, so I can't use them for phone calls anymore. I did not get any complaints in the beginning, and I am not using the earbuds in super noisy environment.
