If I'm home in the morning it gets used.

I'm kind of a basic coffee drinker. Normally black coffee or an Americano. But sometimes I want something fancy. Or I have friends or family over and they ALWAYS want something fancy. So I push the right button and bam, it's done. This is not my first super automatic machine, but it's my favourite so far. It makes a fabulous macchiato, BTW.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was completely unsolicited, unbiased (except for the fact that Philips now owns Saeco and I was thrilled with my Royal), and is completely my own creation.

Love This Machine

I’ve had my machine for over a year and I still love it. I am not a coffee connoisseur by any means but to me the espresso tastes great and the cappuccino is delicious. The latte go isn’t exactly like having a frother steam the milk, but it is also a breeze to clean and use on the daily. I would not have the patience to clean one of those. Cleaning the grinder is pretty simple on the weekly basis.

Great machine but no insructions on how to acccess

This machine is fabulous! It does more than one can imagine. There is only one problem. The machine comes with literally no instructions on how to use its many features. I had to piece together a partial set of instructions by consulting YOUTUBE and other onlib\ne sources in addition to the various cryptic materials included with the machine. Philips is doing itself a great diservice by not including a comprehensive and clearly-written handbook with the machine. It;s a great machine but it frustrates anyone who tries to use it.

Extremely happy with my coffee machine!

A friend of mine has similar machine just older model. I tried coffee at her place several times and it was delicious every time! I love the taste and how easy it is in maintenance! So I was aiming to upgrade from Nespresso for a while now and thanks to sale, now I am a happy owner of Phillips Lattego!

Not good coffee.

The machine makes horrible coffee, I previously owned one, but it broke after 4 years not the same 5500, but another model. I loved that one, this new I had for a month it doesn't perform as good, the coffee is watery and never !change my coffee beans !I had always use the same ones. I have to put the extra shot every time I make a coffee just to make it taste better, so it doesn't matter if everyone in the house has a different preference usually the profile.

Good then horrible

This was a really solid machine for about a year and a half and then it started to lose steam. Got extremely dirty really quickly, coffee got weaker and had a poor taste, and overall became very unhappy with it and stopped using it. I have had it for 3+ years and now it just sits in a closet. Would advise anyone considering buying one of these to stay away
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
