09/20/25 UPDATE- I exchanged the pan v4, and the replacement is working excellent. I've learned to chose between track motion or pan. Camera will lag if both, and if you're watching your driveway, camera will keep notifying you, CAR! Its the family car and its stationary most of the time. So I just use the pan scan so I can keep a good eye on everything. If you do track motion, the motion of the camera will focus on parked car, and miss everything. The power cord sucks. If its not broken, don't fix it. The usbc upgrade stinks and adapters from the micro usb not good to keep power to the cam. Had to get a high charge usb c cable instead. Time will tell how it goes. 10/03 still working, the update did help with pan motion tag for stationary vehicles. Keeps a good extra eye on my front lawn
I really liked this camera, very clear picture, less delay. The one problem I had and why I sent it back is, it is not compatible with Cam Protect package, which I need.
The 4k resolution is nice, and the night vision is OK if there is light or IR, but the pan&tilt operation and connection reliability - despite 3 bars on the WiFi - are problematic. The pan&tilt does not return to home position accurately despite multiple 'calibrations'. Notification videos frequently cannot be retrieved. The camera sometimes freezes to black while looking at the video stream. And the pan&tilt operation without using the widget is very difficult, such as while looking at the video stream in full screen.

The siren on my Wyze Cam Pan v4 isn’t functioning, and the camera frequently shifts from its set position, tilting upward by roughly 15–20 degrees on its own. Every time I check it, I have to readjust its position manually. I’ve gone through all the settings to try to fix the issue, but nothing works.
I also own three Wyze Cam Pan v3 cameras, only one still has a working motor, while the other two are completely frozen. Wyze really needs to improve the motor quality, connectivity, and move up to 24fps performance if they want this product to truly shine, because right now, it falls short.
I was also disappointed in the rollout, it would’ve been nice to receive an email announcing the release of a product I had been "eagerly" anticipating, but instead, I found out by accident. I’ve loved the earlier versions of the camera, but while the newer models have made some nice improvements, they’ve declined in overall quality, especially in the motors.
I’d gladly pay more if these issues were addressed and improvements implemented. Until then, I’m holding off on upgrading my other eight Wyze cams. It’s better to build one product right than to produce twenty others that are half-baked and that’s exactly what seems to be happening here. I am very disappointed with this product.

Wyze Cam Pan V4 is an excellent upgrade to the excellent Pan V3 in almost every area of functionality. One can hardly hear the motor as it pans, the 4K images are crystal clear. However it is still plagued by the inability as the V3 pan to keep the Pan way points locked in position for a TV least a month before recalibrating. This is my only criticism of this camera. Excellent device I recommend it’s purchase
I bougth 3 of these cameras. I loved the camera functions, but needs some improvement: I have a Fast Internet connection and everytime I used the Pan and changed waypoints, the image is frozen and I need to restart the camera to be operational. I thought installing the latest firmware will fix the issue. Also, just watching on Live view, the time will stop and the image is frozen. I hope there's a fix regarding these issues.
