Good upgrade, but still has some issues

Camera twitches when using live mode??? For some reason it twitches when I'm watching it in live mode versus the actual recorded version. So I don't know what that is in regards to like it's recalibration. Definitely an issue.

Wanted to like this, as it looks better than past versions. But this camera frequently disconnects from wireless and have to manually reset it. This camera when it works is fine, but it's too unreliable for me

No better than V3. Motion detection masking still doesn't work. Detects motion on stationary parked car in drive. Stay with v3 until improvements are made.

The item works really well. The only problem I don’t like is if you touch it outside there, solar panel does not work with it. I had to run line into my garage to get this to work. I hope eventually they’ll make it where they can use the solar panel.

09/20/25 UPDATE- I exchanged the pan v4, and the replacement is working excellent. I've learned to chose between track motion or pan. Camera will lag if both, and if you're watching your driveway, camera will keep notifying you, CAR! Its the family car and its stationary most of the time. So I just use the pan scan so I can keep a good eye on everything. If you do track motion, the motion of the camera will focus on parked car, and miss everything. The power cord sucks. If its not broken, don't fix it. The usbc upgrade stinks and adapters from the micro usb not good to keep power to the cam. Had to get a high charge usb c cable instead. Time will tell how it goes. 10/03 still working, the update did help with pan motion tag for stationary vehicles. Keeps a good extra eye on my front lawn

The 4k resolution is nice, and the night vision is OK if there is light or IR, but the pan&tilt operation and connection reliability - despite 3 bars on the WiFi - are problematic. The pan&tilt does not return to home position accurately despite multiple 'calibrations'. Notification videos frequently cannot be retrieved. The camera sometimes freezes to black while looking at the video stream. And the pan&tilt operation without using the widget is very difficult, such as while looking at the video stream in full screen.

Calibration Accuracy: If the camera is not returning to the home position accurately, try performing a factory reset. This can help recalibrate the camera and resolve any software glitches. Manual Pan & Tilt: For smoother control, ensure you’re using the latest version of the Wyze app. The widget in the app is designed for easier navigation, but we understand it can be challenging in full-screen mode. Exiting full-screen mode may provide better control. 2. Connection Reliability
Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Even with 3 bars, interference or network congestion could impact performance. If possible, try connecting the camera to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network (if supported by your router) for a more stable connection. Wi-Fi 6 Support: The Wyze Cam Pan v4 supports Wi-Fi 6, which can improve connection reliability. Ensure your router is Wi-Fi 6 compatible for optimal performance. 3. Notification Videos Not Retrievable
