Won’t stay at 4K and has no option to stay there. Otherwise it’s decent.

Upgrading from a 5 year old ring camera. This thing is a big difference in clarity even at night. I love the motion tracking. There are a few reasons why this didnt get 5 stars. 1. The motion tracking needs to be fine tuned. Plants, trees, and lights throw false alarms all the time. 2. You need to buy a separate kit if you want to install this outside. 3. The mounting bracket didnt work very well for my installation under the eave.
Resolution is good. Has a harder time staying connected to the WiFi as my v3 did in the same location. I don’t like that it doesn’t have the ability to do timelapse. I would not have bought it had I known it lacked that feature.

V2 was solid, not as much features but it's better made imo does what is supposed to, show video of the area and did great in low light. Didn't need any extra stuff.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your thoughts! Here’s a quick comparison to help clarify the differences between Wyze Cam Pan v4 and Wyze Cam Pan v2:
Wyze Cam Pan v2: Known for its reliability and simplicity, it’s a favorite for basic monitoring needs, especially in low light with its Starlight color night vision. However, it is currently out of stock.
Wyze Cam Pan v4: Offers 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160), providing much higher image detail. Features both black & white and enhanced color night vision. Includes a built-in spotlight for improved nighttime visibility. Supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz) and Wi-Fi 6 for faster, more reliable connections. Has a privacy mode and motion warning feature. Rated IP65 for indoor/outdoor use. Setup is streamlined with BluetoothⓇ connectivity.
If you prefer a straightforward camera that “just works,” the v2 is a solid choice, but if you’re looking for advanced features and higher video quality, the v4 is a significant upgrade.

I was not sure this cameras were as good as the they proved to be when I ordered the first pair. I installed one in my back yard and yes, coverage is excellent (I have a large yard) and it covers from one corner to the other (sideways) and about 60+ feet from the wall where is installed to the water canal and the woods behind my home. Excellent detection of any human and in my case, any animals on my yard and beyond. About the other camera, I tested it and it behaves just like it's twin. I just have to do a bit of electrical work on the other wall to set it up permanently. Very satisfied with the WYZE Cam Pan v4's as of today, just need to see how they behave with the HOT, Central Florida sun during the Summer months.
