Simple, classy video doorbell

We already had a ring on the front door but wanted something on the back deck for motion and awareness. This doorbell certainly gets the job done. Not to mention my son likes to use it. 😆 I like the sleek black appearance, as well. It goes perfectly with the theme and decor of our home.

DING DONG!! Who's at the door?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this video doorbell in exchange for my honest opinion and I have some slight issues with the product compared to my previous video doorbell but I would still suggest it if you want an alternative to the other companies out there. I wanted to give this product a couple of weeks before I review it and now that I've taken that time out I have to say it does a great job and its a more straightforward looking video doorbell than others I've seen or had before. The box put everything in a nice set up the video doorbell is wrapped in plastic and has that nice peel on the screen of it. It's all black, so you get a gorgeous slick and sophisticated design rounded edges and the MYQ logo at the bottom. 2 led lights, one right below the camera and one right above the myq logo and below the button to press to ring the bell. The button has a wide circular LED light, so when it is pressed, it will light up. Website setup was a breeze just scan the qr code on the back of the device, and since I already had a myq account, it was even easier to set things up. So I've had it for a couple weeks and it works well my only issue is that this feels like a first version of this device for MYQ something I'd love them to include is a rewind feature so that I can look at what has happened throughout the day and currently because of how my doorbell is setup I am unable to hear when somebody is at the door so I hope they will release a chime wall plug so that I do not miss any packages or any other important things. I think the website needs a more updated look or at least an option to change from light mode to dark mode and although I have the device connected whenever I try to add people onto the account it says that I don't have a device connected at all. I also found that sometimes my video detections don't show up for me or will not load/show unfortunately so I need them to fix things a bit better before I would fully suggest this device to somebody. I know this is their first foray, so I know time might fix/help, but so far, I'd say they need to work on things first. I don't hate using it and can see the progress that needs to happen, but going from a robust system to something that feels like it's starting fresh does feel like a slight downgrade. I'd give this device a 3.5/5. It's a great start but needs a lot of work in order to compete with already established companies that have video doorbell devices.
