MyQ Video Doorbell

We found installation to be very easy. Even connecting the doorbell to WIFI had to be the easiest device for me to do. The unit was a big bigger than anticipated, but no problem. Clarity of video is excellent. Two-way communication is great.
My only disappointment is that the pictures online and on box are misleading as the circular blue light is only lit when the doorbell button is pressed. How does one find that button at night? To me, the pictures make it seem that the circle is lit all the time. I expected that to be the case as this doorbell replaced one where the light was extremely bright, but on all the time. Hopefully, there will be an update to have that blue circle lit at night. Thank you.

Needs improvement

I purchased the MyQ doorbell. Installation was easy however the doorbell requires a non low voltage wiring to be hard wired. I highly doubt most houses have this and then having to get an electrician to come out and wire that will be a pain. While the doorbell was charged and working the response time was vey poor. It would take 20seconds or more to find the person motion, ring of the bell, or passing by vehicle. By that time, recording was pointless and not actually showing anything of use. Very disappointed in the function of this doorbell. I might as well go back to our old one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost great

I was hoping for more. I have the MyQ doorbell, video keypad, garage camera, two indoor cameras, and two outdoor cameras. The chime works well and is easy to setup. I used to have a Ring doorbell and Ring Chime. The Ring chime would go off when someone came onto the porch. This is a feature I was hoping for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The doorbell is great but I don’t want my data on a server, but rather on a local SD card, this is not an option
