Our products are tested to operate from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). Freezing weather can, unfortunately, impact the lithium-ion batteries used in many smart home devices, and as the temperature drops the battery will begin to have trouble holding a charge. At freezing temperatures, the battery may run out of power more quickly and require more frequent charges. As the temperature goes up your keypad will return to normal operation. Glitchy, Short Recordings and Battery Life

I purchased the MyQ Outdoor Battery Camera and put it outside my garage door. It worked mostly adequately for 3 months, until it got cold. Now with cold weather, the battery only lasts 3-4 days. I was initially disappointed with the short recording options and just accepted the limitation. Now the camera is mostly useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Stephen, thank you for your review on the myQ Smart Battery Camera. For the outdoor battery camera, the spotlight automatically turns on during night motion events, so those recordings are saved in full color. You can also manually activate the spotlight during livestreams to see in full color. The spotlight turns on with motion to deter nighttime intruders. It provides near-daytime visibility even in the darkest of conditions. The brightness can be adjusted, or it can be turned off completely in the myQ app to conserve battery.
