Don’t buy this camera by the outside garage camera

I bought the garage camera and it has a replaceable battery. By a spare and your camera is on line except for the 3 min it takes to swap batteries.
This camera must be removed and charged for 6 -9 hours (no coverage). This camera is on my front door so it gets 10 times the activity that my outside garage camera gets.

This outdoor security camera is easy to install and use. Video quality is good and so is the night vision. That said, the battery life isn't very good when the camera is used in a high traffic area and the camera may need recharging every 2 or 3 days. Also, the battery is non-replaceable and recharging takes approximately 4 hours. That means you will be without the services of the camera for that amount of time unless you can figure out a way to recharge the camera in place. A replaceable battery would allow you to swap out the battery with almost no down time. Unfortunately, the battery is not replaceable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Glitchy, Short Recordings and Battery Life

I purchased the MyQ Outdoor Battery Camera and put it outside my garage door. It worked mostly adequately for 3 months, until it got cold. Now with cold weather, the battery only lasts 3-4 days. I was initially disappointed with the short recording options and just accepted the limitation. Now the camera is mostly useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our cameras are tested to operate from -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C). Extremely cold weather can, unfortunately, impact the lithium-ion batteries used in many smart home devices, and as the temperature drops the battery will begin to have trouble holding a charge. At freezing temperatures, the battery may run out of power more quickly and require more frequent charges. As the temperature goes up your keypad will return to normal operation.
