A couple of issues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator was bought in October. Although the ice maker works fine, there is an issue with it filling up the ice bin a little too high. When we open the bottom freezer to get ice, ice is pushed out the back of the bin and falls to the floor area of the freezer. We have to open the freezer door completely and reach in to remove the overflow ice. The ice maker was replaced in kind but it still is experiencing the same problem. I have notified the certified appliance repair dealer. Hopefully they will follow up with the engineering group with Whirlpool. Also a replacement right side door is on order. Our refrigerator has a small ding on the lower portion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a couple weeks ago. Very sorry I did. Drawers do not all work smoothly. Pulled the freezer drawer out to check on the ice and I watched some fall back, but where does it go? You can’t reach back there, I guess time will tell. One evening my wife opened the refrigerator door and no lights. I called kitchenaid and of course no after hours. So I looked on line and the useless manual. So the refrigerator went into Sabbath mode. To do that you have to push a button on the inside of the door and holds for 3 seconds. So not like you could do this by mistake. So why did it go into that mode. Worse will it do it again. Still don’t know how to adjust the temperature. If I could go back I would not have purchased this refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So Far, Blows Away the GE Profile Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kitchenaid fridge does everything I wished the GE Profile refrigerator could do. Most importantly, it keeps my food cold in the safe range based on the temperature I set on it. The GE Profile refrigerator in my first hand experience, didn't do that. This Kitchenaid fridge makes ice great whereas my GE Profile needed to have the ice maker replaced but was still inconsistent. The Kitchenaid works as the manuals say it will. The GE Profile did not. It's a bonus that the interior of the Kitchenaid seems to have more usable space and is easier on the eyes. The Kitchenaid interior reached the temperature I set in 3 hours out of the box. The GE profile struggled to reach that temperature in spite of many service calls. Of course only time will tell with any appliance in terms of reliability. I've only had the Kitchenaid for a month. But so far, it's making us happy.

Disappointing for the brand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We expected better from the KitchenAid brand name. The refrigerator itself, so far, is operating as expected. Our frustrations come mostly from the instructions and the inadequate customer support.
Nowhere in the manual is there a useful explanation of the in-door control panel’s functions. There are no detailed and clear instructions on how the temperature settings are adjusted. Nor is there a description on how the icemaker determines whether the bin is full.
When contacted via the web site’s texting facility, the CSR (AI?) was also unable to explain how the icemaker prevents bin overflow.
We’re also disappointed in the shelving height options. The optimal shelf arrangement is approximately a half-inch short for standard one-gallon milk jugs. Why wasn't that considered by the design team? We’re also not impressed by the limited bin height options within the doors.
We’ve also been stung by the silly ‘Sabbath’ setting, which is probably useful to less than one tenth of one percent of the customer base. Yet it is prominently inserted into the confusing control panel.
We can only hope that the product lasts as long as we would expect a KitchenAid appliance to reliably function.

Nice Refrigerator,But…..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We chose a KitchenAid refrigerator because we initially replaced our dishwasher with a KitchenAid unit and absolutely love it so, our intention is to eventually replace the stove and microwave with K/A units. The new refrigerator has plenty of nice storage on the doors, shelves and pullout drawers. The clear plastic bins and drawers give it a clean and spacious look versus typical solid white bins and drawers. The only drawback that is very disappointing is the icemaker. When the icemaker calls for water, it is so loud and distracting that we had to turn it off on Christmas Day as we had company visiting and it was embarrassing to hear that water filling the icemaker. We have since kept the icemaker off as the noise sounds through, not only the kitchen, but the dining area and family room also☹️. At this point, I probably would not recommend this refrigerator to a friend unless it turns out that there’s something wrong with our icemaker or KitchenAid can remedy the problem via a design change.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our fridge so far! Looks great inside, very clean aesthetic. Ice cubes are a fun pyramid shape!
Only complaint is that the doors aren’t quite heavy enough to close on their own when you give them a push y close. You have to physically close them yourself vs pushing them and assuming they’ll make contact and close all the way. We’ve accidentally left them ajar a few times by thinking we’ve closed them and did not close them all the way.
I would recommend this to a friend!
