Great Layout/Performance, But Materials Feel Cheap

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been happy overall with this refrigerator, but there are a few areas where it falls short.
The biggest disappointment is the quality of some of the interior components. The plastic shelves, bins, and trim pieces feel noticeably thinner and less durable than previous generations. Some parts are flexible to the point where they seem like they could crack or break if handled roughly.
That said, the refrigerator itself is very functional. The layout is excellent, making it easy to organize food and maximize the available space. The French door design is convenient, and everything is easy to access.
Another frustration is the user interface. Several functions require button combinations that aren't clearly labeled on the control panel. For example, after replacing the water filter, resetting the filter alert requires holding specific buttons, which isn't obvious without consulting the manual. Small things like that make the experience less intuitive than it should be.
Performance is strong overall. Cooling is consistent, the water and ice dispenser works well, and storage capacity is more than adequate for our needs. The doors feel a little lighter than expected, but they're still solid, and the stainless steel finish looks nice, although it does seem prone to scratching.
Noise levels are generally low, but the refrigerator does make occasional grumbling sounds, especially during ice production.
Overall, it's a good refrigerator with excellent space, cooling performance, and organization. I just wish the interior materials felt more robust and the controls were more user-friendly.

Solid Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent refrigerator. Good capacity. Freezer is less so with various sliding drawers needing to be carefully packed to avoid obstructions. Very quiet compared to previous refrigerators (the only sound is ice falling into container every once in a while. I was surprised at how much we could fit into the refrigerator (with part of one door sacrificing shelves for the ice maker. One improvement would be to make slide out drawers more narrow so that both doors do NOT have to be open to slide the drawers out. We like the on-line capability though of course we do not really use the temp online adjustments. The most useful will be the notification of a partially open door if, God forbid, that ever happens. Ice dispensing is clean and quick although we did buy an insert to absorb any water spillage in the tray in the door (probably should be included as spillage would otherwise be a weakness). No evidence of hotspots in fridge or freezer regardless of how long we keep the doors open to take out or put in food.

Very nice fridge!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this fridge! It seems to hold everything and you can rearrange the shelves easily for those oversized items. It stays super cold too. I like the side door with the drink storage area, it’s right by the ice machine so it’s very cold. I do wish the ice machine held more ice. The water machine is so cool, it tells you the ounces as you pour. The doors can be kind of tricky sometimes to close and you have to make sure it’s shut, same goes with the freezer door. We overall love this fridge and we use the app it came with.

Some pros and some cons

Brand-new fridge is nice looking. The binnacles and door-accessible ice compartment are nifty. The layout of the shelves is fine, though they would be a lot better if the ones on one side could be accessed by opening the door on that same side.
The workmanship is not nearly as good as it should be -- several of the joints are not flush, so much so that insulation foam is sticking out a bit. And the tube running from the water inlet up to the dispenser is not tied down firmly to the rear panel so it's plainly visible from the side, as though they could only afford to use three little brackets instead of five.
And I'll be damned if I can figure out how to turn off the ice maker from the control panel -- the instructions in the manual do not work. Why is there not a simple on/off button there?

Inferior model WRFC5036RW

This is a 2026 model, the owners manual for this model # does not match the unit. I can not turn off ice because there is no switch as stated in manual. I can not lock water because there is no LOCK button. If I place produce in the bottom draw it freezes, I keep the temp on 39. The repair guy has been here 3 times and he said with only one condenser this unit is inferior. Forget about calling Whirpool service, they will keep you on hold forever that is why I am trying to get help here.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
