Love it BUT........

I bought this and started using it on Sunday, so today is day 4 and have been using it every day. Have it set to vacuum and mop for one whole week to get my floors deep cleaned. Love the features and the quality of the clean but, the stain sense is a joke. I am using this vacuum and mop to maintain my downstairs which is all dark brown engineered hardwood. I didn't bother cleaning my floor before I started using this, to see what the PowerDetect was capable of. The basestation is located in my living room and I have 3 dogs, one of which is a 4 month old puppy. Coincidentally, my floor color is pretty close to the color of dog poop making it difficult to see when cleaning up from an accident. In my living room, near the basestation there was a dried poop smear that I missed and purposely left to see if the PowerDetect would find it and clean it and that mess is almost completely gone, mostly because the mop pad is the wettest there. It however did not perform any additional cleaning on it so I question if it was able to sense it. The second issue is located in my kitchen where the dogs eat, because they bite the food out of their bowl, drop it on the floor and eat it from their so this dirty spot is a combination of dog saliva and dirt. Again, hard to see because its the same color as the wood grain in the flooring. The third issue, I came home from a long day trip and didn't notice what had happened for a while because all I could smell was poop and I didn't notice anything different in the house. I eventually realized that while I was away, one of my dogs pooped and then my older shark vacuum vacuumed it and proceeded to mop the entire downstairs with it. Anyway, I missed a spot in my front office when I cleaned from this incident and wanted to see what the PowerDetect would do. The PowerDetect doesnt seem to detect any of these dirty areas and just runs over them once. Is it because the "stain" is nearly the same color as the floor? The vacuum wars on YouTube use a white surface so the viewer can see it work but none of the tests are performed on darker surfaces or surfaces that nearly match the color of what is being cleaned. In my situation it seems stain detect doesnt and will not work. I will need to continue to clean with a separate mop the areas the PowerDetect wont clean.

this vacuum plus mop robot is great for animals

I got this about two weeks ago. It was the best purchase I’ve ever made. It is great for animals. Thus dirt is so easy to set up. My force have never looked so clean. I’m just so excited.

I bought this product 1 year ago and I am so glad I did. It’s is wonderful. Easy setup. Easy to use. Robot does great with vacuuming and I use it every other day. The mopping function is good but I prefer to self mop. This product definitely decreases my daily chores. I am pleased.
I have not been disappointed yet with any of the Shark products. I mostly purchase when items go on sale!

Excellent vac/mop robot

I’m very pleased with this vac/mop robot, it does a really good job. I have two dogs that shed and this vac keeps my floors looking great! The app is easy to use as well.

Smears poop great!

I can’t figure out how to cancel a scheduled cleaning. Should be easy! Plus this thing will not just run over dog poop, it will drag and smear it Everywhere!! I’m replacing carpet for hardwood thanks to this dumb thing!

Great Idea, Poor Execution

Setup was super easy — the mapping setup ran smoothly, and I thought I’d found my new favorite gadget. But once I started using it, the flaws really showed.
It doesn’t pick up very well. It leaves behind light stuff like tissue pieces, fluff balls of dog hair, and even tiny bits of dog food. I shouldn’t have to vacuum again after the robot finishes.
Editing the map is so frustrating. Merging or splitting rooms takes several tries, and you can’t move the split line once it’s made. For something that’s supposed to be “smart,” it’s way too clunky.
The mop + vacuum mode only works if you clean the entire house. My home’s about 2,100 sq ft — it takes all day because it has to go base to recharge. So I want to clean half house at a time, you can't select mop + vacuum mode when selecting specific rooms.
The spot clean feature is also really limited. You can’t create your own clean zones — it just does a small square area. My kitchen is big and open, and I just want to clean around the sink, stove, and fridge after dinner. So the spot clean is unless to me and I have to select the kitchen room and move all the chairs and stools and clean the entire kitchen zone. Super inconvenient.
Overall, great idea but poor execution. Weak suction, glitchy app, and limited cleaning options make it hard to recommend.

I’ve had this since it 1st came out. All they do is push dog hair around. When it’s done I have to vacuum up the dog hair.

This product is a huge headache for me. I replaced my Samsung robovac with this and I want to return it. It has been about a month and I’ve had to remap the apartment 10times. It doesnt allow you to set more than 2 cleans a day (for anyone with pets this is absurd), and the mop+vacuum setting is worthless - it will only mop or only vacuum. The longest run it’s had is 15minutes before it returns to the base and it has barely done anything. I’m freaking over it!
