[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is so amazing!!!! I will note that it does NOT come with instructions…..but it is ridiculously easy to set up in your phone via app / Bluetooth. I am so happy to have this incredible camera in my house!! I’ll now be able to easily keep a close eye on my twins!! Highly recommend!
The quality of the camera is great, but the environment sensor is situated on the outlet plug in rather than the camera itself. For situations like ours where the outlet is placed directly above a vent and cannot be moved, it means that the environmental information such as temperature and comfortability is forfeit as it’s reading the temperature of the flowing air rather than the room.
The Owlet is definitely a worthwhile investment. Gives us some very needed peace of mind as newborn first time parents. The camera is very good quality and now that we've used the sock a bunch of times it is very easy to put on. Initially it was very hit or miss but it works well. The sock battery lasts around 18 hours if needed. The only thing I wish it had in Canada was the live spo2 monitoring as we only get a 10 minute average.
We’ve been using this camera for 6 months and like it so far! I love how easy it is to access on the app — being able to listen to the camera in the background while doing other things is so nice and I also love the Picture in Picture mode so I can keep an eye on my girl. It also tracks temp and humidity which is a bonus! It was easy to install and set up and the video quality is good, although occasionally it takes a minute to load the camera which can be annoying. We have turned an old iPad into a monitor to be able to carry it around with us which has been extra helpful.
The footage is great visually, the only con is the notification doesn’t work. Like if you click the notification it won’t open the camera like it should, but if you go in the app manually it works just fine
