Too sensitive to noise

I love that the camera allows me to listen on the background of my phone so I can still do stuff on my phone while listening for her in the morning. I love the temperature and humidity being displayed as well.
I absolutely HATE how sensitive to noise it is. With the fan and the tv in my room I leave the camera on at night so I can hear her if she cries, woke up at 4 am one night thinking someone was breaking into my house all because my 12 pound cat was walking up our stairs. My husband wakes up in the morning and goes into the basement, I can hear it on the monitor. I live next to a main road, and trucks are very active. This morning I woke up to what can only be described as a blood curdling scream coming from the camera. No, a truck passed our house and the camera picked it up, and then picked up the sound of my phone playing the sound back which sent it into a frequency loop. I think I’ll be switching to another camera, this is ridiculous! I need a camera where I can listen for her babbling in the morning while I’m downstairs, not a bird farting a mile down the road!

I love the option to hear the monitor through your phone even if you're on different apps on your phone or have your screen locked. The temperature notification is a added bonus!

I was honestly a little skeptical at first, but the Owlet Dream Duo has been really helpful for me postpartum. Once my baby started sleeping longer stretches, my brain somehow got more anxious instead of less 😅.
I like that I can do a quick check from my phone without turning on lights or waking him — seeing both the camera view and sleep info helps me relax enough to actually go back to sleep. I’m not watching it all night, just using it for reassurance when my postpartum brain starts spiraling.
Setup was straightforward, the app is easy to use, and I appreciate that it works well even with a bedside bassinet setup. It’s been a nice balance of information without feeling overwhelming.

Yes to sock NO to cam

I have this cam and the dream sock and the sock we love!! It told us our baby’s heart rate was too high and saved her life.This camera though is a different story. It never stays connected it shows that it’s not connected more than it shows her room. The owlet support is horrible to deal with they just tell you to try the same thing multiple times. If I could go back I’d just buy the sock and get a different monitor.

We got the owlet cam for our baby. Only wanted the camera and thought it was nice to view everything with an app and not a secondary device. The camera is a pain to connect to WiFi; it will only connect to a basic WiFi not 5G. The notifications also suck when the baby cries, there’s no loud notification sound just a slight ding and absolutely no way to change it

Very inconsistent camera , great when it decides to work . Constantly have to reset the camera because of difficulties showing picture . Do your research on this monitor before you waste your money. The sock does great and the camera is great when it works just rarely does .
